Frank gets extension

The Nets announced Monday morning that Lawrence Frank has signed a contract extension. "Lawrence has done an outstanding job," Rod Thorn said in the press release, "and we feel confident that he will continue to provide the leadership so invaluable to the success of our team in the future." The Nets did not disclose the terms of the deal, but it reportedly gives Frank two more years (at $4.2 million and $4.4 million) beyond the 2007-08 season.

im not a fan of this move, because i was hoping to see him get fired midseason last year.
I just hope he does a better job for the years to come. Go Nets!!!

Thorn didn't fire Scott when Kidd asked him to, and Nets have been paying for it ever since.

Frank squeezed a lot out of the players last season except for VC.
Think JKidd, Mikki, Nachbar, Wright, Josh, Eddie, and Hassan.

i hope to god frank learns how to play bench players next year, and has a better offensive scheme in the waning minutes of games. that pissed me off.
and if sean williams learns how to block shots without fouling in the nba, and he doesn't play...i want frank fired.
although i'll have to admit, year by year, the nets have been making strides, whether it's because of frank or not.
who knows where they could have gone with nenad, an extra scorer who could've taken the scoring load off of vc and rj's shoulders.

i'm happy with frank but eddie jordan should have been nets head coach a long time ago.
