Re: Lawrence Frank's Doghouse
if we won't use Sean Williams this season, we should have drafted Belinelli instead.
Because he is more experienced, and NBA ready, he can contribute right away.
At least we are lack of the scoring ability from the bench at the shooting guard position.
I have a thought similar to ghoti, it's that the draft for Sean Williams is a stimulus to Boone, let him work harder in order not to be replace by Sean.
on the other hand, Magloire would not be replaced by Boone easily, he is a veteran and was an all-star. His rebounding ability is irreplaceable.

no way belinelli is a better long term prospect than williams, especially considering the premium of a big shot blocker/rebounder/athlete over dead shooter.

He has a long way to go before he will be considered better than Magloire or Krstic.

No reason. He got his contract. He has to believe that Nets' management is happy with his play.
Of course, Nets have no way of competing for a Title, but many of you seem happy with this reality, or have deluded yourself into believing otherwise.
Good luck to us all.

Agreed. I'm of the opinion that, as currently constituted, this team has 0 chance of winning a title.
Our only hope is that Thorn has an ace or two up his sleeve, which I still wouldn't count out...

umm...isn't that scoring ability from the bench supposed to be boki and marcus? what's wrong with those 2, paired with rj or vince? not enough scoring there?

Yeah, we dont need scoring from every position. On most nights, I believed our bench outscored the opposition's bench. Bench scoring isnt a problem.

hopefully marcus isn't one of the nets scorers off the bench next year. id much rather him focus on doing the thing that he was billed coming out of college as being great at... DISTRIBUTING THE DAMN BALL. he clearly has the ability to do so. instead, last year he was a shoot first point guard with no jumpshot.
here's to hoping against hope that marcus takes all that energy he used on trying to score, and instead use it on attempting to play D and distributing. this is why the nets need to sign someone else who can play point and defend. so frank can put marcus in his doghouse if marcus continues to show such ineptitude on defense or lack of interest distributing.

Re: Lawrence Frank's Doghouse
I think we will bring Williams along slowly. Magloire was a need pick up....short term, hoping either Boone or Williams will seize the day as the Nets future PF.

Is it just me or can nobody read on this forum. I didn't say he is better than either. I said , "IF" he is better or IF he gets better, he still won't be given a chance just because hes a rookie. People read more than there is to this comment and try to criticize for things that are not being said. Quite funny if you ask me.

Pot calling the kettle black. Astral said Williams has a long way to go to be better than those two, simply saying that your "if" is far fetched.

You are criticizing Frank for something he hasn't even done.
