Calling everyone you disagree with names is just childish and will ultimately sour everyone in this forum. It's a message board and we're all nerds typing on it, just trying to put it in perspective.

Seriously, you're concerned for my sanity? Please. You seem to think this is my life. Hardly. It's an entertainment and what this board could use is a few more homers instead of those who reflexively accept whatever (negative) conventional wisdom is currently available. I post in spurts. You just think I am here all the time because I have a facility for writing.
This board is hardly reflective of feeling of the greater fan base or you wouldn't have as high a renewal rate for season tickets...or the increasing volume of visitors to NetsDaily.

Hey i'm just a guy who writes on a message board so what do I know, right? All i'm saying is your constant knocking down of posters opinions with just flat out rudeness isn't gonna help bring any new blood here. I don't assume anything about anybody on these boards, I just go by the way they post and lately all I see is labeling and name calling. If that's how you get your jollies than so be it.

Re: Which team has best shot of landing JO?
I can be considered new blood to this forum, since I only started posting here in May, I believe. At the beginning of the 06-07 season, I discovered NetsDaily, and it's now my one-stop source for Nets info. Good job!
As for NetIncome, I think he's the most erudite poster in this forum, and he knows it. Does he come across as holier-than-thou sometimes? Yes, but that sort of thing doesn't bother me. I'm not so sensitive as to get my feelings hurt over that. I have yet to see NI post an ad-hominem remark. In fact, I kind of like NetIncome's style, because it's refreshing to get sincere points of view from an informed individual who isn't afraid to voice his opinions regardless of whether it hurts a too-sensitive person's feelings. We live in a PC age, and NetIncome in contrast is a breath of fresh air.
To be honest, I find myself actively seeking out NetIncome's posts -- that right there means he's doing something right. You can't deny that NetIncome is informed of the topics about which he posts, and even if he is a little bit too much of a fan of Thorn/Stefanski for his own good, I'm able to recognize that as a minor flaw, and take the overwhelming good with that minor bad. By and large, NetIncome is right 90% of the time, and that's a better average than every other poster here, probably.
I think it all comes down to this: If you make an informed post, NetIncome will agree with you...it's the unjustified hyperbole which is his pet peeve, and he will call you out on it, in which case you shouldn't then get all sensitive about his retort. And again, I don't think he's ever resorted to ad-hominem attacks, as far as I've seen, so it's all fair game to me.
- My 2 cents.

Re: Which team has best shot of landing JO?
NJ has very little chance of landing JO. Look at Zach, Mags, and KG, they all came from the West. If the Pacers decide to ship out JO it will be to the West.

You're my new favorite poster. You're like a young Petey. I'm excited about this.
The "holier-than-thou" thing bothers some of us more than others. As does the incessant need to take seemingly every piece of bait someone throws under his nose (a criticism quite a few other posters are guilty of). I do agree that on the whole, NI's well informed posts tend to bring a strong, intelligent perspective to the discussion. But it's very, very frustrating for many of us to have to wade through the constant acerbic potshots and aggressive mentality that he posts with.
You can be an interesting and intelligent poster without being a jerk. Ghoti and Dumpy manage to pull it off, and so did Petey. It just annoys the hell out of me to see a lot of intelligent, interesting posters (and not just NI) get themselves dragged into these non-stop ***** sessions. There is no need for 95% of the negativity on this board, and a lot of the prominent posters don't do enough to try and prevent it. NI, who is probably the MOST prominent poster on this board who isn't a mod of some sort, and who is responsible for so much of the negativity, is the obvious target for many posters. Unfortunately, their anger just feeds back more, and the cycle continues.
Alright, that's the end of MY holier-than-thou speech. Oh, and NetsDaily is an amazing site. Not sure what I'd do without it.

Really? Is that why Donnie Walsh said he would consider doing the trade if a third team is involved? Right now, it does not seem he's going to L.A. and the Pacers are rebuilding. So I see no reason why JO can't come to NJ.
It's very possible.

While I hesitate to say that Vince sucks, I have to say that I value RJ over him. The injuries have made people forget what a difference the guy can make. The injury prone knock is hollow in my opinion. His major wrist injury came on a hard (or dirty depending on your opinion) foul by Billups. His ankle injury from landing awkwardly on Shaq's foot (correct me if I am wrong on this one). So it's not like he is just getting nicked up from the daily rigors of the NBA and missing games cause of it. He is a very good defender when healthy and a pretty solid scorer as well. He is still has some growing left to do and I feel like if given a bigger role in the offense he could step up his game further. By no means am I saying that he can pull a Kobe and carry a team on his back but I think he has the potential to be the main wing scorer on the team if we trade VC for a big man.
