RJ's upcoming season
Anyone feel that RJ will be allowed to be more of a part of the Nets offense this coming season than he was last season?
And while I'm asking, anyone believe Frank's statement that there will be more ball movement on offense this season?

Re: RJ's upcoming season
I do believe That RJ will be part of the offense now if they run the motion offense and RJ will be the first one receiving the pass at the fastbreak so he will get his.

Re: RJ's upcoming season
Let's see how much Frank is really planning on implementing this idea. He has to have the guys buy into this, the defense idea he just seem to get that it just won't work with this team, we have offensive power, we don't need to waste so much energy on defense.

Re: RJ's upcoming season
RJ must keep him with Healthy, and train his shooting ability.

Let RJ take over Vince's role, and have Vince move without the ball.
Wouldn't that be something?

He'll be involved more if Brian Hill has any say in the offense.
NO because he's only thinking what he would like to see (his demanding personality). His expectations are allways irrational.

That's on Thorn (with the approval of Ratner).

You gotta have the ball to pass it.
Also, RJ is not afraid of getting fouled going to the basket rather than passing off before he gets hit.

Re: RJ's upcoming season
i think that they will take away vince's positions and give them to krstic. I expect krstic to be the 2nd leading scorer behind vince this year. Its gonna be his breakout season. 17ppg and 6.5boards for nk and Rj will have fewer PPG but will have more boards and dimes

RJ sometimes makes absolutely horrible decisions. He will get some boards but I doubt he will increase his dimes.

Re: RJ's upcoming season
RJ had more 4th quarter turnovers last year than I care to remember that's a weakness in his game that got worse as he coped with bone fragment in his ankles...
Boom tho, that's one thing RJ's gotta get under his belt, when we're up 20 points don't throw softball passes that get picked off and change the momentum.
I don't know if he's a bad passer really, but just needs to stay with it when we're trying to stay ahead.
He'll be back in RJ form this year of course, he's pretty crazy about conditioning.remember last season they were calling his "SanDiego Charger", ah good times.
Hopefully he's got his step back and blast the rim. Forget last year.

I've been saying this since the end of the 04-05 season: if Vince was willing to play a little more like Kittles and move without the ball, and cut and curl like Rip Hamilton, imagine how many dunks and spectacular alley-oops and circus shots he would get?
If he would be willing to run instead of spot up...he could get easy baskets instead of trying to attack the trees...
Alas, he's too lazy...
