Re: Why Kobe for Carter may be feasible
Maybe time to restart the Kobe to Nets talk.
First, Carter needs to return to high level and maybe Krstic needs to get better fast. Then throw in some draft picks. Kobe will want Marcus to stay with Nets I think, for post Kidd era. By Nets playing SWill. more could help entice Kobe to come here at end of year (when Carter can be traded).
We can dream, can't we?
Imagine replaying this season without Carter and Krstic, but with Kobe instead and with SWill getting big minutes? We would be at least 6-2 and looking good.
PS. Is it possible Carter has been "holding back" for fear that he could be traded to LA if he played well?

Re: Why Kobe for Carter may be feasible
I think Carter is holding back because of Kobe, or hes holding back so the league thinks he sucks, then it will be easier for him to break out when the team needs it. Vince is weird like that, hes done it every year.

Sometimes I really wonder if you do know anything about Vince

Re: Why Kobe for Carter may be feasible
If Kobe realy wants to come to NJ to win, he'll insist that we trade our heavy contracts and useless players for him. Not players that'll help us win.

Re: Why Kobe for Carter may be feasible
Kobe reached a new level in 02-03 when he scored 9 straight of 40pts+.......
Since then...the Lakers have gone to the gutter of the NBA and he has asked to be traded...
Coincidence? I have watched Kobe since 2000 and when he discovered "I am the best player in the NBA" in 02-03, he alienated his teammates and he has seen no success (the 04 team was SUPPOSED to win the title of it was a failure)
We all know the kind of guy Kobe is. Hes the baller you play with on the courts who is no question the best player on the court, but he gets mad at "how bad" the rest of teammates are and he just tries to do it himself while the real team wins.....

Re: Why Kobe for Carter may be feasible
I know Vince more than any other nba fan ever. Don't worry he'll come back strong this year. He'll still end up with 24-26 ppg 6 rpg and 5 apg.

Re: Why Kobe for Carter may be feasible
When Kobe goes to bed tonight, I think he'll be dreaming about a trade to Nets for Vince and Krstic!! If only he can get LA management to go along. After all, Kobe will only allow a trade that doesn't hurt the team he is going to!!
Lets see, Chicago - out, Detroit - out, Boston - no way; Toronto - no way; Miami - no way; Cleveland - not likely;
That leaves New Jersey and Orlando as places for Kobe to go to if he wants to be in the East and LA also wants to send him East. Besides - salaries match and LA gets nothing if Kobe becomes a free agent!!.
Vince would give the LA fans plenty of Ooos and Aaahs. I don't think we should rule this out in about a month. It would help if Marcus, Boone, Mags. and hopefully Krstic would be playing well so that would create more options.

Re: Why Kobe for Carter may be feasible
Statistically I know Vince more than Max. I know him in and out. I appreciate what Max does for Carter fans. Hes great at what he does. But when it comes to numbers and players and the connections between them, you don't want to mess with A+ arhie. If it was for making mixtapes or getting photage of Vince , we fans worship what Max does. I meant to say statistically speaking. I'm confident about that part.

Good points arhie. I think you do more about the stats and connections but to be fair, I do not post on this board that much. I think my opinion and thoughts on Vince and how he plays are just as valid as the next guy's. I have seen 100% of his games since the 2002-2003 season and have tons of his vintage games on DVD. I watch and study all the analysis on TV and formed my own opinions on Vince. But I am not one to pull out stats and prove points. I am one to look at the game as a whole and analyze plays and facial reactions and stuff like that. But hey, its all good. I am a huge Vince fan and editing mixes is my favorite thing to do because it is my profession but I can assure you and me combined would know A LOT on Vince.
Peace
