Re: Sean = Baby Amare?
12 games means nothing. Will Sean get to the point in his second year where he had 10 straight 20 point games. Now that is a question. Also will he ever get 10 blocks in game?? THat is possible.

Re: Sean = Baby Amare?
The Nets haven't had any real shotblockers in recent yrs so I'm glad we have him. Opposing teams would usually look to drive into the paint against us b/c of their lack of regard for our bigs but Sean has posed a defensive threat when he's on the floor.

Re: Sean = Baby Amare?
He's our new K-Mart. I haven't seen a lot of Nets games this season b/c I live in Canada & all & Sean doesn't play much in the games that I have seen. His athleticism & shot-blocking ability are his obvious trademarks but how is his face up game & post up game. Does he even have that? Needs work I'm guessing. K-Mart could at least knock down mid range jumpers & put the ball on the floor & make a move.

Re: Sean = Baby Amare?
why i'm a fan of sean is because he's shown to have great instincts for the ball(on defense especially). he's got great athletism but even then, you don't get 3-4 blocks a game simply by athletsim. what's scary is that he's still relatively raw and has plenty of room for development. the nets should give me more minutes to develop, and he would be a darn good player come playoff time.

Re: Sean = Baby Amare?
Cant say Im going to buy into the Amare comparion, or someone who mentioned him creating his own shot like KG.
I think a KMart esque player is a better comparison. Williams is already a better defender than Amare. I think in a couple years you'll being hearing Williams name thrown into DPOY discussion. I dont think he'll ever have the offensive talent that Amare has. I could see him being 20/10 at least once though.
The Nets should have bought him a pound of weed when they drafted him. Its only because of that he landed in their laps. Great pickup for the Nets. I've said for years, "Get a defensive big man". We'll you've got one. Its hard to say who to compare him to, since the guys ceiling is so high. He could turn out to be a top 3 pick from the draft.

Amare is a 20ppg + scorer almost every year.. That's pretty dominant scoring wise.. And everyone has forgetten what he did to Duncan in the playoffs a few years ago.. Something Sean Williams will never come close to doing..

Re: Sean = Baby Amare?
So having a good series a few years ago means what again?
