Lawrence Frank IS the problem with this team
Now this might be premature, the Nets might as well end up winning this game BUT I have been saying it from day 1, this guy has got to go!
Can someone tell me why a lineup of Armstrong, Gill, Wright, RJ and Boone should ever be in a game together. Especially when Magloire and Sean Williams are on the bench.
This guy has no clue and so does management.
Only on the Nets will the team go away from the hot hand. Only on this team do you see opposing teams out rebounding the team but will never put in rebounders or shot blockers to prevent them from doing so. I am sick of this crap.
They gave up a whopping 36 points in the 3rd quarter. Common sense would suggest you put in a rebounder when Boone was getting abused down low

How many losses will it take until the Nets fire Frank?

Re: Lawrence Frank IS the problem with this team
Does anyone know if its possible to contact management via mailing address, or e-mail. I want to start a petition to get Frank fired! The team needs a coaching change, we haven't had the same collective determination, the players AND the fans since 2 years ago. I know it's hard to do things when some of your key players are out with injury but it's also hard to win when you have key role players looking at their shoes from the bench. Dammit all, Frank go watch video of your coaching and I hope you vommit and choke, cuz I know I did!

Re: Lawrence Frank IS the problem with this team
Lol arrogant Nets fans laugh at the Knicks, but you should just be lucky that you have had players like Jason Kidd, heck even Vince Carer to will this team into the playoffs the last 4 years. At least the Knicks are willing to make changes, except of course when it comes to Isiah. The Nets on the other hand.....
This management does not care about winning, their main goal is to get to Brooklyn. How can anyone watch this game, heck the past 3 years and not think this team need changes. Frank will stay and this ****ty team will continue to suck

Re: Lawrence Frank IS the problem with this team
This team quits every game, and I blame that on the coach and the so called leader Jason Kidd.
I don't care what the numbers say he has played like garbage this season.

Re: Lawrence Frank IS the problem with this team
He's Fratello-lite. One of the most boring coaches in the league.
He'll slow the game down enough to scratch out enough wins to make it in the playoffs, but he just gets his butt handed to him by better coaches.
For a team with Kidd and Carter, I should never have to dread watching a Nets game as much as I do (in the rare case that I watch one, like say, against Memphis).

Re: Lawrence Frank IS the problem with this team
I just don't understand why Jason Collins is immune to being pulled from the starting lineup?
It boggles my mind, yes, Magloire has played pretty bad. but, he has had a couple solid games, then doesn't see minutes for the next couple games. I'd much rather have him out there than Collins. Don't even get me started on Collins getting so many more minutes than Sean.
This team consistently gets off to slow starts, it seems like common sense to try taking out the player who contributes the least.
Collins can be effective every once and a while, depending on the opposition. But, there is no way he should be starting against 90% of the teams in the league.
And it'd be nice if Frank ran plays for a guy when he was on fire like VC was today...instead of just going away from him until they are down 10+ late in the fourth.

Re: Lawrence Frank IS the problem with this team
This teamd oesn't even run plays, they either give the blal to VC/RJ and say go do something or run them off screens for off balanced jumpers.

Re: Lawrence Frank IS the problem with this team
^Remember that thread about the crowd being pathetic, well we know why. Why should any ticket buing fan pay to watch the crap being put on the floor?
Management does not care about winning, why should the fans support such crap?

Re: Lawrence Frank IS the problem with this team
i didn't think he was the problem last year or the year before but now it's starting to rest on his shoulders. There's no reason why a team of kidd, rj and carter should have such problems scoring and winning games. There's also no reason for magliore and sean williams are getting 10 minutes a game when collins seems to play close to 30. I think Frank does a great job analyzing games and understanding what the other team is going to do in certain situations but he's not seeing what directly in front of his face with his own team.

Re: Lawrence Frank IS the problem with this team
Frank wasn't trying to go away from Vince, the Wiz just made a conscious effort to take the ball out his hands.. It's pretty simple to defend the Nets right now, I mean, even a defenseless team like the Wizards are doing it, just defend Carter and RJ, and the Nets will struggle to hit 90 points..

Re: Lawrence Frank IS the problem with this team
^3rd quarter, successive possessions. Vince all alone on the other side of the court, the ball isnt even swung to that end. The Wiz defense was not responsible for that

If this truly is what they want to do then why not just dimantle the team and get rid of all the older talent minus Jefferson. Might as well blow it up and collect lottery picks now. Doing what they're doing now with an eye towards Brooklyn is a stopgap and this team will certainly suffer prolongingly even when they've moved there.
