Re: Whose To Blame

Everybody that plays on this team is to blame. Kidd, Carter, Jefferson and everybody else. The only bright spots are Boone and Sean.

Re: Whose To Blame

I think we get carried away with Sean and Boone's roles on this team. Yes they have played well, but the more I watch the two, the more I think the two shouldnt be starting together, unfortunately the Nets big man rotation is so bad, that its the only logical choice. Both Sean and Josh have no post up games, and it hurts the team in that all their shots have to be created by the perimeter guys. Also Boone's FT woes is seriously hampering the team

Re: Whose To Blame

Well all of our bigs have their weaknesses, some of them have strengths. You can pick your poison. But our backcourt is not doominating teams like they should.

Re: Whose To Blame

kinda funny. Byron Scott is at New Orleans right now, which happens to be the leading team in the west.

Re: Whose To Blame

Byron Scott is a really good coach. He got fired when the nets were over 0.500. The nets are on a 9 game losing streak and Frank is as safe as ever. Its been 3 years and we still don't know how to defend the 3 point arc.

Hey, smart guy. Why did Scott get fired?

Re: Whose To Blame

Lawrence Frank was never a player, he should not be a NBA head coach, he just doesn't know the game.

You shouldn't ask me why he got fired, you should find a way to ask Kidd. Kidd might be a good guy on the court but hes an animal off the court.

Nets should hire a new coach before breaking up the trio. They haven't even tinkered with that idea. We could have got Phil Jackson to start the 05-06 season but Thorn didn't want to try coaching with a better coach. Honestly Frank should have got fired last year. AFter losing against the heat it was appearent that he doesn't know how to adjust in a playoff series. Last year in the playoffs it wasn't entirely his fault but Vince taking 23 shots in the final two games is pretty startling. FIRE FRANK.

Re: Whose To Blame

Byron got fired because the team got off to a bad start. The Nets were one game over 500 when he was fired and replaced by Frank. At the time the Nets were not playing up to their standards and were basically tuning out Scott. Now in 08 its the same thing only worse, they are tuning out Frank and the team is 9 games under 500, yet Frank's job is safe according to Thorn.

Wouldn't even watch game film? Made some terrible in-game decisions? I mean, the team won 14 straight immediately after he left. There had to be SOMETHING about him that made the team tune him out.

Re: Whose To Blame

after all the talks lately i'm pretty convinced this is Thorns and Stefanskis fault.

Players and coaches deserve blame too, they are the ones out there losing games. But the overall dead end of a situation the nets find themselves in is completely on the front office. Bottom line is, they failed to add any significant peaces to improve the team that went to the finals, they had what 6 years to do so.

instead, they all settled for a mediocre barely .500 team. it had a superstar highlight making player in VC that would bring fans to Brooklyn, it had Kidd that might be the next stockton and play till he's 50. How floolish were those ideas. Now the nets closer then ever to the move to brooklyn, find themselves being FORCED to rebuild at the worst time possible. the superstar is not shining anymore, team is not winning. maybe they had hoped that these guys can carry the team on its big move, and then after the management would actually try to do something significant (maybe get lebron). well that idea exploded in their face.

My two cents can be found here: Win or Lose, the Nets can't shoot
