yeah, on second look, that's a horrible deal. Stackhouse has 21 mil/3yr left, Diop is around 7 mil also for 3 years. NJ don't get any cap relief at all.

Vince is washed up with bad knees. He has no explosiveness anymore. That is how he got a lot of his points. Driving to the lane and throwing it down.

He can't do that anymore and he is not that great of a shooter. He isn't worth much anymore.

Because I don't want Devean George, Desagana Diop and friends here. I don't care if their contracts are expiring. Cap space is just extra money saved in Ratner's pockets. No good free agents are taking that money to play on a team that blew itself up.

It's a perennial playoff team. Not just a playoff team, but it's a team that has gotten to the 2nd round without fail every year (except that one stupid year). The Nets' streak of making the Playoffs is only matched by 3 other NBA franchises. It is not "wasting" money. It's money spent to put good players on the floor and not garbage like Stackhouse who makes a crapload of money to do next to nothing.
