Nets:Post-Kidd trade
So far, I really like what I see.
Diop & Hassell contributing (and they play defense).
Vince & RJ more aggressive
Marcus not worried about making mistakes
Devin not even playing yet (and he plays defense also).
And we're not sure what Ager might bring.
I've enjoyed watching this Nets team much more than the earlier-in-the-season Kidd team.
Hope they keep it up.
And, of course, Nets also received two 1st rd picks.

Re: Nets:Post-Kidd trade
You know whats weird, this is the team that Kidd would have loved to play with. But in order to get better, you have to give up something and sadly it had to be Kidd. The guys that came back here are all defensive oriented players, Kidd would have loved playing with them. I want to see where this team goes from here, so far so good

Re: Nets:Post-Kidd trade
I doubt the two picks will stay with the Nets, but we'll see.
And also, I believe that this new team after Kidd plays more team ball than they did with Kidd. Its kind of unusual, but it seems to be true.

Re: Nets:Post-Kidd trade
IN - Harris, Hassell, Diop, Swift, Ager
OUT - Kidd, Wright, Collins, Allen
The two 1st round picks will likely be in the 20's but looked who were picked by the Nets and the Mavs in the 20's:
- Nenad Krstic
- Josh Howard
- Marcus Williams
- Josh Boone
4 starters!

Re: Nets:Post-Kidd trade
we're 2-1 w/o Kidd, 1-1 w/o Magloire. Just goes to show who was more valuable.

Re: Nets:Post-Kidd trade
MM, so far, I definitely agree, hope they continue to play hard...and it seems attendence wise, the fans agree...the fans at Izod last night certainly appeared to be more numerous than for the last several games with Kidd and there were fewer fans heard rooting for the visitors

MisterMontross, it's seldom to see you post the positive things. Now I feel you are so cute. By the way, I like this kind of Nets, too.
VC and RJ should attack, attack, and attack, they are both the team soul leaders right now, they have the experience, and clutch play. They have to lead our youngsters, Marcus, Boone, Sean, Nenad...etc.

Re: Nets:Post-Kidd trade
Jason Kidd had 17 assists for the mavs now, it's time for us to move on, we need Devin Harris. The mavs are playing well step by step.
Marcus has to learn how to play like Jason Kidd.

Re: Nets:Post-Kidd trade
This team is playing well after the kidd trade. In the long run I know this trade was the right thing. I just hope we can find a shooter. We got all defensive players in this trade not that its bad. I don't know if there is any in FA but i would love to sign a shooter. (too bad i know barry wont sign wit us, he be perfect)

It looks like we got the better deal got rid of the dead weight and brought in better players.
Those draft picks could change the franchise Thorn needs to draft a small forward or a shooter.
Thorn should try to trade up in the draft using our pick and the one from Dallas and get Brandon Rush from Kansas.

Re: Nets:Post-Kidd trade
It seems like this team is having fun. I haven't felt that way about the Nets since the 02 season. Vince and Jefferson are attacking the rim and playing aggressive. Marcus is proving me wrong right now. Sean and Boone is continuing their development. Diop and Hassell are playing great for us right now. Krstic is slowly getting back into game shape. I really like this team right now and we have a chance to make the playoffs this year.

Re: Nets:Post-Kidd trade
I actually don't mind how this team looks too much right now. Devin Harris may not be Jason Kidd, but I'm sure he'll be a valuable addition to this team when he returns from injury.
I can't wait for next week. Should be amazing. I still think the Nets will make the playoffs.
