Stop. Bogut went off last night.
Krstic was invisible on defense (pathetic for a 7 footer) and doesn't have it on offense.
Wake up Nets fans he's done.

Re: Diop's performance
Why not Boone/ Diop? Have those two hold down the paint while the 1-3 do all the scoring.
Marcus/ Harris
Carter
Jefferson
Boone/ Williams
Diop

Re: Diop's performance
id rather see diop replace boone when boone rests... so maybe like sean/swift or even krstic in the 4 and boone/diop at the 5. though i do think kristic should at least come off the bench and start either sean or swift

Re: Diop's performance
I dont have a problem with Krstic starting, because right now he's not getting starter minutes. Boone, SWAT, Swift, Diop has all played more minutes than him at the 4/5 spots.
I think Krstic should play thats the only way he'll get back to where he was before the injury.

Re: Diop's performance
Screw Krstic, resign Diop but not with the same money Krstic would have gotten. Players like Krstic are becoming less rare with each passing season. The Nets could always find another big that can shoot and for less money. Resigning the bigs who play defense and are decent shotblockers should be first priority when it comes to building the frontcourt.

Re: Diop's performance
I think in the short amount of time, Diop is has more to offer than Krstic.
Frank loves defense and Diop is one of the better post defenders at his position.
At this point, it'll be wise to build around a solid rotation of the bigs we currently have, sans Krstic.

Re: Diop's performance
Look here's the alternative to letting Kristic go. The Nets can simply draft Kosta Koufous a Nenad clone. Bigs that can shoot can easily be replaced. Athletic defensive minded bigs are harder to find

Re: Diop's performance
Depends on which Krstic we are talking about, the pre-injury Krstic is definitely a lot better than Diop.

Any Krstic (injured, recovering, healthy) does not approach Diop defensively.

True, but Diop is no 1st or 2nd tier caliber defender either. He is still inconsistent and not a good help defender. There are stretches where he will block shots and play great defense, he can also disappear. I'd take a healthy Krstic over Diop any day.

I'd like a healthy Krstic also, unless I needed a player to effectively guard the opposition's scoring bigman.

Net fans (myself included) thought Krstic would get better during the season but that's not the case he's still looking for his rhythm.
Hopefully he gets it before the season's over but it doesn't look good right now for him.
He'd catch a break if he could defend or rebound but he does neither therefore he's dead weight.

Re: Diop's performance
I don't think the Nets should give up on Nenad, he's just too important to just let him walk..

What does he bring to the team that's important?
He's averaging 4.7ppg and 3.60rpg shooting 32 percent with 14.5 mpg.
