Nets' Schedule / Playoff Chance
i hate the schedule...
we played in 4 different cities in 5 day! two back to back games.. and we'll play another tough one at Houston on Monday. it's not fair!!
Nets are 0-5 in March:
vs. San Antonio.... 83-93 (one of the best teams)
@ San Antonio...... 70-81 (one of the best teams)
@ Memphis......... 93-100 (one of the worst teams)
@ New Orleans..... 96-107 (one of the best teams)
@ Dallas............. 91-111 (one of the best teams)
@ Houston.......... ?-? (won last 18 games)
the results are normal i think. (but i know Nets could win 1-2 games if they didn't suck @ 3rd quarters)
we're out of playoffs now but i think we can get the 7th or 8th spot before playoffs.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PLAYOFF RACE:
6. Washington 30-32
7. Philadelphia 29-33
8. Atlanta 26-36
9. New Jersey 26-37
10. Chicago 25-37
11. Charlotte 24-39
12. Indiana 24-39
13. Milwaukee 23-39
8 teams!! but just 6.5 games difference between 6th and 13th spots.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
19 games left... my prediction: 9-10 (35-47)
@ Houston L
vs. Cleveland W
vs. Utah L
@ Chicago L
vs. Atlanta W
vs. Denver L
@ Philadelphia W
@ New York W
vs. Indiana W
@ Indiana L
vs. Phoenix L
vs. Philadelphia W
@ Detroit L
vs. Toronto W
@ Cleveland L
@ Toronto L
@ Milwaukee W
vs. Charlotte W
@ Boston L
what do you think?

Re: Nets' Schedule / Playoff Chance
i do hope we could be in the playoffs. still, it would depend on how the sixers/hawks will do in this later part
with 19 games left my prediction would be like 12-7 but it depends in the sense of urgency of this team cause the last 5 games could be gimme's since cavs and boston are already locked and may not want to play some of their starters

Re: Nets' Schedule / Playoff Chance
I think it all depends on their mentality at this point. They are sloppy right now. They look uncoordinated. Do I think that condemns their entire season? No. I still believe that they can do it, that they have the capacity.
I'm going to be rooting for a LONG winning streak, as long as we can make it over these last games. They need to turn it on NOW. I don't care who they're playing, they need to come out like their fighting for their lives. I don't even care so much if they win against Houston. If they can get one game on this trip where they play with the level of intensity and defensive mentality that we need, I will be happy.
We need Vince to turn it on. He needs to be mad. Someone needs to get in his face and motivate him. He's an amazing player when he just lets himself lose. He was trying last night. I was glad to see him and RJ taking it to the basket. But there needs to be more of that. They all need to stretch the floor and allow Carter and RJ to turn it on. We need those guys to perform well if we're going to win and ultimately make the play-offs.
Harris and Williams' jobs at this point should be to create for Carter and RJ. We could use their scoring, but we need them to get these two involved first and foremost. And Carter and RJ need to actively create for themselves too, and each other.
On a good note, it's important that Krstic is coming along. He's developing back to his old form. It's slow coming, but he's becoming more and more confident. They can't forget him either. He's a very important asset to this team when he's on. When he's on, it opens the floor for Carter and Jefferson. I say get Kurly going early.

Re: Nets' Schedule / Playoff Chance
The Nets blew off to many games early in the season to be in the playoffs.. Just sit back and wait for those lotto balls..

Re: Nets' Schedule / Playoff Chance
The team isnt playing horribly. Unfortunately for the Nets...this is a murderous stretch they're going through. At some point, perhaps within the next 10 games, theyre going to have to call it a season and go into full out "tank mode."

Re: Nets' Schedule / Playoff Chance
The Nets will still make the playoffs but unless they can get the 6th seed they'll get swept. They might win a couple of games against the Magic if they can get the 6th seed but that's it.
