Re: Jefferson ponders his future
Trade him to Utah for Kireilenko. Nets get a wing that doesn't fight with Vince for shots and can help distribute the ball when Harris is playing point, and Utah gets a true 3 instead of a tweener.
I would think any high profile team that flounders big time in the playoffs will be looking to make some changes. Detroit would be another possibility if they get knocked out by anyone other than Boston this year.
Toronto will probably give up Bargnani and Kapono for RJ. Bargnani doesn't really work well with Bosh but could still develop nicely as a full time PF. He just turned 23 so that bust label hasn't gone up completely.

Because Rose is the best player in the draft. Turning away from Rose because you have Devin Harris is pretty damn ludicrous. Rose will be a top point guard for years. I'd trade the entire team and then some for him.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves just YET. He does have the physical tools to succeed, but does he have the basketball IQ required to do so?
Now you might not have noticed but also in that trade Ridnour was included. So you have the Nets with Ridnour, Rose, and Harris. Too many points for one team dont you think?
Anyways no way Seattle trades those guys for RJ, doesnt make any sense for them

Re: Jefferson ponders his future
Bargnani's a bust that's why he's being offered I'd much rather re-sign Nenad.
Toronto's losing it Bosh said in an article he doesn't trust his teamates.
Kapono sounds good I'd be willing to give up Hassell for him.

Re: Jefferson ponders his future
Now comes the revelation from franchise player Chris Bosh that he lost trust in his teammates. As teams locked in on Bosh and forced the ball out of his hands, the three-time all-star admits he wasn't exactly sold on his teammates stepping up when he deferred. At least in the past two games, Bosh, when he reflects on the blown chances to put away Charlotte at home and New Jersey on the road, says he doubted shooters to make shots, which is understandable given the Raptors went a woeful 1-of-10 from three-point land in the final quarter on Saturday. "I have to do a better job of trusting my teammates,'' Bosh said yesterday as the Raptors essentially went back to drawing board in the wake of three successive losses to sub-.500 teams that have dropped Toronto (38-39) one game under .500. "I've lacked in that and I can be man enough to say I've made that mistake. I've talked with the coaches and they told me the same thing -- trust my teammates."

Re: Jefferson ponders his future
Don't know what Toronto's doing has anything to do with this, but sure.
And as I said, Bargnani is only 23 and has been playing out of position since he joined the Raptors. Toronto might shop him around because he failed to play C, but that doesn't eliminate the possibility that he can succeed at PF.
Just throwing ideas out there. I don't really think RJ will yield you a high lottery pick this year considering the talent that is out there. Maybe if he has a friendlier contract, but right now one can consider him to be slightly overpaid. Of course, that's not taking into account that Seattle is already loaded at the 2/3 with Jeff Green and Durant.

Re: Jefferson ponders his future
Besides Seattle isnt trying to make the playoffs this year, so I dont know why they would want a player like RJ

Point is this team doesn't need a big question mark.
From your perspective Bargnani isn't a bust...ok.
I think things aren't so rosy in the Tdot that's why players are available. Just my conspiracy theory.
That's all this thread is ideas.

Re: Jefferson ponders his future
unless your team is winning championships there are always players available for trade. And why would it matter to the Nets if the Raptors aren't doing well? Trade opportunities usually are found on teams that's struggling, I don't see what's wrong with that. Most young players that hasn't been in the league for too long are considered question marks, it's just another word for potential.
Normally a player doesn't get the bust label after 2 years of being in the NBA especially when he's only 23. When Bargnani is given consistent play time at the 4 he has put up some decent games. If he can find a team that can let him operate in the high post it is still quite possible that he can turn into a nice player.

It doesn't I just get a kick out of it.
A #1 pick should be a franchise player and definitely not tradeable.
Sounds like he's not working out for Toronto if he gets traded I might have to get an avatar with his picture saying bust in Italian.
