This would be a tough one for me to swallow - losing Kidd and RJ within a year.
I don't think the draft is the answer for the Nets right now. I could be wrong, but I think our picks are too low for us to be getting a PF that can produce right away. We have enough young guys that we are trying to develop.
We desperately need a PF who can rebound and play strong defense. But I just wouldn't want it to be RJ in the deal.
To me, our major problem was TEAM defense. True, getting one guy who is a beast defensively and on the boards can certainly help your team's all-around defense. But I think our defensive problems go beyond just one person at this point. Harris and Diop were recently said to be two of the best defensive players in the league, but our team is obviously struggling. I think in some ways, we just need to get some chemistry going. Too much change-over is a tough thing to adjust to.
