Can't say that you are the audience I was reaching out to, but anyone who realizes what an overrated POS Byron Scott is cannot be an enemy of mine.

Re: Jason Kidd
Thats Karma. Kidd thought demanding a trade would help him, but it DIDN'T. Oh well, too bad. I think it was time we traded him anyways.

Re: Jason Kidd
Bottom line is that he is old and cant keep up with the young'ns. Its a very bad matchup for Dallas. It looks like they are going to be swept. Seems Dirk just can't get it done as the number 1 option

Re: Jason Kidd
things sure weren't going to be better if he stayed here. It's better to lose to good teams than to play no teams.

Re: Jason Kidd
 worst logic EVER!
Oh yeah it would be better for the Nets to get into the playoffs as a 7 or 8 seed and then proceed to get swept. They have ZERO chance agains the Celtics or the Pistons.
On the other hand by missing the playoffs they have improved their draft position, which will be used to better the team next season.

Re: Jason Kidd
I find it funny how people still think Kidd was in this for the championship.. Kidd wanted an extension from Cuban, a championship team was just an added incentive.. It's the main reason why he stopped harping on getting traded to the lakers after they got gasol, because he realized they were no longer interested in paying his contract and extension.. The irony in all this, is that he may get less than what Thorn was going to give him from Cuban, mainly because the Mavs got worse and now have to restructure their entire roster to fit his game..
I'm hoping Paul has a 50 point game, and a sweep of the Mavs

And..it proves he is not a difference maker on the mavs team. They did better before the trade and now they made their future worse. Getting a 1st round exit is like the same as not making playoffs and getting bad draft position.

Re: Jason Kidd
I believe the Mavs (and Kidd) could be much more productive with a better scheme on both sides of the ball; they've got too much talent to continue to fail in the first round - changes are in the wind.
I realize I'm in the minority, but I lay the blame at Avery Johnson's feet. Consider that Riley, Nelson and now Scott (who played on some damn good Lakers teams) are schooling him.
Insiders in the Dallas media are increasingly reporting that a fire sale will be underway if the Mavs do go out in this round; reports are that Cuban will attempt to come to terms with Avery, then basically only Dirk, Kidd and Brandon Bass will be safe.

Re: Jason Kidd
I think Jason Terry has to go from Mavs. What Aifan said makes sense thoguh. I totally forgot bout the contract extension.

Re: Jason Kidd
I personally dont have any animosity towards Kidd. He changed this franchise from a laughing stock to contenders. Sure things didn't go well his last two years here, but I dont think its enough to bash him like he didn't help us during his time in NJ.
