Would that trade give the Knicks the inside track to Lebron?

I think you misjudge Lebron. And ZBO, for that matter.

How? We know that LeBron wants to play in New York but he can also play for Brooklyn which is also/near in New York (am i right?) so if he wants fame and money he'd rather go to a team that's the most competitive amongst the two which we dont know until 2010. Jay-Z plays a factor in his decision too.
As for ZBO, i think it's better to have him than Marco and Darko. Yeah he's a headcase but Darko's quite the same. At least ZBO is a capable 20 10 guy on given nights.

I'd rather have Stromile Swift than Zach Randolph. Understand? Plus, the trade would reduce the Knicks '10-'11 payroll by $10 mil.
And a healthy Lebron makes any team competitive. And if that team is in NYC, it makes Lebron tens (if not hundreds) of millions dollars richer.
Again I'll ask. Do you understand this?

Yup I understand that the payroll reduction is helpful for them. What would happen if he went to Brooklyn will he not make hundred millions too? If not, then i'll stop cause i assume that it's almost similar to what he can make in Brooklyn compared with NYC.
Problem is that you assume that LeBron will just go to any team and not worry about it's comepetitiveness. Wear and tear would come to players like LeBron who carry most of the burden for their teams. I'm sure LeBron would like to have some help, that's why the nets and the knicks try to build competitive teams for 2010.
maybe the knicks brass and i were watching different games last year. I don't know how they aren't taking the deal before memphis comes to their senses. ZBO stinks. yes he's 20-10 but if you watch the games, he's 20-10 because he's a blackhole on offense. I don't know how he's going to run in d'antoni's system. curry, lee and whoever else don't block shots or play defense which at least darko can do.

Problem? I'm desperately hoping Lebron comes to Nets (who may not yet be in Brooklyn by that time). Nets should have a young, competitive squad by then, unless Nets Management screws things up.
