The crowd yawns over fate of Nets

Quote:
On the basketball court, the Nets are the NBA Eastern Conference's two-time defending champions. But in the court of public opinion, they have failed to win the loyalty of most New Jersey residents.

Sixty-one percent of those surveyed in a new Star-Ledger/ Eagleton-Rutgers Poll said they would miss the Nets little, if at all, should they leave the Meadowlands for a new home across the Hudson River. Just one in five people said they would miss Jason Kidd and his teammates "a great deal."

What's the world coming to? How come the Knicks ahve such a loyal fan base despite their team doing badly in the league while the nets go to 2 straight finals and still don't find fans who want them in Jersey?

New Jerseyian seem to believe that they are second fiddle to New york...seems like it carries over into everything.

Location, location, location... the Knicks play in NYC, alot of companies buy up tickets and give them away, buying tickets for the Nets in the Meadowlands isn't too attractive, nor would they have many whom would want to make the journey out there.
