Jason Collins

He is the only one of our centers we can rely on DEKE, ZO, Atrain are all have health problems, age or both...he may only be average at best for his career, but atleast we know he will be there...there arent that many decent big bodies in the NBA and he is one of them.

He in a weird way may be our most valuable player this year. He will be filling in alot for the guys who go down or aren't ready.

He may even continue to start.

It seems that Deke would be the obvious candidate for odd-man-out, more so if Twin studies Kurt Thomas's game and figures out how to consistently hit the short to mid-range jumper. Other than a marquee defensive assignment, like a Shaq or TD, Deke will hurt more than help.

Assuming Zo can play, he's a boon for the other Nets Cs because he'll probably be the starter, but he won't be playing starter minutes.

I haven't decided yet whether A-Train (assuming he's healthy) or Twin would be better suited for the 2nd C role. Just because Twin was the starter doesn't mean he's better than A-Train as a back-up. As of now, A-Train is shorter, older and less healthy, but he has a better game than Twin's and he's more athletic. It helps Twin's case a lot if he can adopt Kurt Thomas's offensive game. If not, it may turn out that A-Train is still better suited as 1st C off the bench than Twin.

Twin, if nothing else, will be a valuable insurance policy.

I don't expect huge numbers from him scoring wise. The more he can do, the better, but I'm not gonna be upset if hes not averaging double digits. He can get rebounds, and he can provide a big body for us. With deke getting older and older and zo being so up in the air, its good to have a big, young guy that we can put down low to guard other big men.

I'd be happy with 6-6 from him. He showed he can't be counted on for offense yet. But he still is a capable big body.
