The Joker isn't even supposed to appear in the sequel until halfway through, so it wouldn't make much sense to deal with his origins (logically or artistically). And like I said above, if Quinn was going to be in it, it would most likely be as her pre-psychotic form, so it's still a slight possibility.

What I was thinking as well, but it's possible that during the Jokers' rise he could recruit Harley, but you're right it's not likely.
Maybe the move after this one, if there is one. I'd love to see Harley Quinn in the movie however. I'd imagine it would probably be a cameo now that I think about it. Maybe at a scene at Arkham where she worked before she met the Joker and went psycho.

perhaps they should have McAdams in a cameo role after the credits (if Joker is committed to Arkham Asylum)? First encounter in session.

I was thinking it could close out the movie.
The Joker's first therapy session, and open the cell door, and out comes Rachael McAdams as Dr. Quinzell.
Damn I miss the animated show, I have all four seasons on DVD, but I still wish they made new episodes.

I miss the animated series as well. Loved it all along, and cursed the studio and network when they cancelled it...
