Rutgers Women Basketball
I'd just like to take the time out to say "Congratulations" to the Rutgers Women Basketball Team. Reaching the final four is no easy task, and beating the number 1 team in the country in the process (Duke). Prior to tonights game was exciting (gotta love an upset), but being a game away from playing for a National Champioinship is soooo much better. "Good Luck" in Cleveland ladies, and bring it home to Jerz!

Is there a history there? My theory is that Gooden's little patch of hair on his neck used to be the little patch of hair missing from Rasheed's head. Drew must have won some epic battle and now wears that patch as a medal of honor. That's the only logical explanation for such a ridiculous hairdo right?"

Re: Rutgers Women Basketball
Carson ( number 5) played for Eastside High School in Paterson (my alma mater)so it's good seeing old Silk City and New Jersey in the Final Four. Good Luck ladies! You can do it!

Re: Rutgers Women Basketball
This team gave up 35 points in a Final Four game.
I can't express how impressed I was with that.
They play incredible defense.
If they even shoot OK in the final, they are going to win.
That would be awesome, because I have always liked C. Vivian Stringer. She's really cool and a great coach.

The same here Ghoti. I've always thought of her as being a great basketball coach (regardless of sex). She represents the state university of new jersey with class and dignity. People lose rutgers in the womens basketball picture with uconn and duke and tennessee, but 2 final fours, 3 elite eights and 4 sweet sixteens in addition to 9 ncaa tourney appearances in her 11 years at rutgers with this past year winning a big east tourney title and last year being the regular season champs. Being born and raised in Jerz I'm just proud of Rutgers right now (it's been a great year for the school & state). Once again congrats lady knights, lets get the big one on tuesday.

Re: Rutgers Women Basketball
I knew this team was the ****. Essence Carson is a sick player. Vivian Stringer is a great coach. But Epiphany Prince is the leader of that ballclub. She is the TRUTH. Just sometimes a little volatile, but a coach like Stringer, once she gets a hold of Epiphany Prince, makes her turn into a hell of a ballplayer. They and Syracuse (Erica Murrow!) will be the teams to watch next yr.

Everyone's coming back next year, too. Add to that McDonald's All-American Khadijah Rushdan, and . . . wow.

Re: Rutgers Women Basketball
A disappointing lose against the Lady Vols for sure, but everyone on this years Rutgers squad (coaches & players) should hold their heads up high. You had a great season, and made everyone from the state of NJ and the Tri-State area proud!
