tv question?
i have an hdtv and i play my xbox 360 on the hdtv setting but now, my dad wants to trade in our cablebox for an hd one. How can i play xbox on hd while having hdtv? There is only one hdtv slot on my tv and the xbox 360 components are already plugged in it.
thanks

Re: tv question?
If your TV only has one component slot you will have to alternate. That's unheard of to only have one slot though. Is it a much older set?

Re: tv question?
I think what you need is a component video switch. You should be able to plug in your 360 and cable box into the video switch and switch back and forth without taking the cables out constantly. Look it online and see if that's what you need.

I'm pretty sure that switch would work, but I'd ask someone at the store to be sure.
Basically, you plug your 360 into input 1 on the switch, then your cable box to input 2. Then run a set of component cable from the output of the switch to the input of your tv. You can then just switch between the 360 and cable box. Hope that help.
