NOLA.com: Hornets now can begin getting ready for makeover
Full Article
Quote:
Very little, if anything, about an 18-64 season that concluded with an 86-75 loss to the Clippers on Wednesday night at New Orleans Arena has resembled a beauty mark. It's been a year of warts, from a series of injuries that were crippling, to a disgruntled star (Baron Davis) who kicked away the crutch the Hornets were using by whining his way out of town, to a team that sometimes has played with the IQ of a doorknob when it led late and needed to finish the kill.
"It wears you out," Scott said. "It wore me out when I played in Vancouver when we only won 15 games (in 1995-96). It wore me out my first year in New Jersey when we won 26 (in 2000-01). But this year has been tougher because of all the different changes that we've had.

Hornets First Round Pick Chris Paul on playing with J.R. Smith:
"It's going to be too exciting to play alongside J.R. He loves to play above the rim and I love to put it above the rim for him to catch it. I'm just excited because he's a young, up-and-coming player just like myself."
