JR Smith
Will you support JR Smith if he goes on a new team and does well, or would you rather him fail. Will you stay a fan or will you be bitter? Do you blame Scott or Smith?

Re: JR Smith
Both of them are to blame, but ultimately Smith is responsible for himself. He's the one who loses money by not displaying the sort of work ethic that you need to be a real star in the league.Honestly I don't like his game that much because I think it's mostly style with very little subtance.Really I don't care much about him either way unless he's going to help the team.I think Scott has been obstinate, childish and petty. However that doesn't mean Smith should sabotage his own career by retaliating in kind. Both of them should be put in time out.

Re: JR Smith
I think I'll root for him wherever he goes. I think he'll be a good player one day and he'll be playing on another team and stick it to the Hornets every chance he gets.
I do think his dad needs to back off a bit though. Where is JR's agent? Why isn't he advising JR better than JR's dad is?

Re: JR Smith
I'll root for him, but seriously this guy has some growing up to do, hopefully a though coach like Scoot Skiles can guide him.

Re: JR Smith
Byron Scott isn't a developing type of coach. You better be able to play when you get off the bus if you want to play for Byron. He doesn't have the patience or mindset to grow a player. I think his attitude frustrates a young guy when they need to be built up. However a veteran player or a player witht he maturity of a Chris Paul can see beyond the ******* attitude and get the message.
I'll always watch JR Smith and cheer for him but I can't help but put the blame on his shoulders for his lack of development. All that seemed to be reported was a lack of hustle and thats one thing that any player from you and I to Michael Jordan can do regardless of talent.

Re: JR Smith
regardless of all the drama, both behind closed doors and out in the open for every media outlet to record, i will still root for him. He gave us a shimmer of hope during an absolutely dismal season that equated to 18 wins. Him and birdman were really the ONLY positive reasons for watching the games, as they brought excitement and enthusiasm every night.
This entire thing has gotten way out of hand however, as we had a solid talent that just had some holes in his game (defense, shot selection, rebounding) and it seems that Scott chose the route of benching and belittliing smith, and hoping he would learn everything he needed to know during practice sessions, in one season no less.
But I still put most of the blame on smith, and also his dad, who seems to have too much of a stranglehold on his young career. he had an opportunity to showcase his talents during the summer league, and declined. He had an opportuunity to be the bigger man and not run his mouth to the media, however he chose to blab away. Very immature way to handle the situation in my opinion.
The whole situation has left a sour taste in my mouth, but lets just be thankful that the NBA doesn't allow high schoolers to be drafted anymore, or else this could have been a recurring problem with byron.

I don't know that it would've been a recurring problem with Byron because he probably would never have drafted a high schooler again. I think he's learned his lesson.

Re: JR Smith
See? This is what I'm talking about. JR's agent is Arn Tellem. Why doesn't JR or Arn talk to the media? Why does it always have to be JR's dad? I guess he's his spokesperson. LOL! Maybe JR doesn't need to speak but I do think his agent should step in at some point.

Re: JR Smith
I love JR and when he finally taps his potential, I think he could be great. I think it is a mistake to trade him, but I will root for him wherever he goes.
