I knew it was coming, he had that tremendous upside, it looks like he is unleashing it all for the Nuggets.
He's shooting a really nice % compared to what he did for us, also making those damn free throws.
Averaging 17 PPG, in just... 4 more minutes than his first season, he had a couple of 30+ games.
Is this the J.R. we wanted?
Well it seems that our team shoots like crap sometimes, maybe he could appear on those nights...
But mantaining J.R. on our roster means no Chandler, and he's really doing it this season, making us outrebound the opposition on most nights.

Scott and J.R. didn't get along. We'll never know what we could have really had in J.R. I had nice visions of a Paul/Smith backcourt but sadly it never came to fruition.

Oh yeah JR Smith is talented and thats never been in question. The thing is NBA Basketball is not a fantasy league. You cant just take a bunch of players that have good stats and create a good team. I really liked JR Smith but after seeing some interviews/specials/articles on him I'm really not impressed with his mindset.

All he wants is to do is put the ball in the basket and he does that well but there is so much more to the game.

Either George Karl has really changed or he's even more desperate for a shooting guard than I thought he was.At one time he'd have never have tolerated what he's tolerating from JR.I know that he made Sam Cassell look like a hall of famer in a game I saw earlier this year,made almost no effort to stay in front of him.

I think that Scott was wrong about how he handled the situation and that the team should have held onto him or gotten something of value in exchange,but JR is the one who refused to work on his game and if I am the coach that's really going to stick in my craw too.

It's really sad because the Hornets are getting close to nothing from the 2 with Snyder gone.Mason has had a couple of decent games recently,but he doesn't give you anything compared to what a good NBA SG should.

Right, he needs to bulk up his DEfensive skills, I don't think he has much will learn them.
He really needed that college play he let slip away at North Carolina.
