Paul frustrated by All-Star break, likes teams momentum..
I don't blame him one bit. They're playing well right now and would hate for this break to interrupt their momentum as it did last season. Hopefully it won't be the case this time. One thing that should help is that Paul will only participate in the Rookie/Sophomore challenge and then head home to N.C. for a little R&R instead of going to all the weekend festivities. The first team the Hornets play coming off the break will be Charlotte.
In late January, when the Hornets were losing games to lesser opponents such as Philadelphia (twice), Hornets Coach Byron Scott made a telling point to his fluctuant team. He pointed out teams such as Phoenix and Dallas, two of the better teams in the Western Conference, which never "took nights off."
Scott asked his sub-.500 team: "And we have the nerve to take nights off?"
In February, the Hornets have been generally gritty, and they are on the cusp of the eighth playoff spot.
To do so, they will have to defeat lesser opponents. They have seven games remaining in February, and only the Feb. 27 game at Cleveland, is against a team with a winning record.
"I think at one point everyone counted us out for the playoffs," Hornets guard Chris Paul said. "And to see how well we're playing now, I can't wait to see how it turns out."
The Hornets entered Saturday winners of 11 of their past 16 games, and they play at Memphis on Tuesday and host Sacramento on Wednesday, heading into the All-Star break.
"I'm actually kind of frustrated by All-Star break," Paul said, "because our team is playing so well that I don't want that time off. I want to keep playing the games and see how it turns out."

Yup, Just what I was thinking last night, it would be awful to lose the momentum.
But look at the bright side, team'll win a couple of triple OT games next week, then they can rest..

Yeah I'm actually in favor of the break. I want CP's ankle to get a nice rest

I'm in favor of the break because I know the guys could use the rest but I just hope they don't lose their momentum. Hopefully they'll come back feeling fresh and ready to go full steam ahead.

The games they have after the break shouldn't be too bad, I don't think he has to worry.

Those three should be tough Nets are on a streak right now. Seattle Lewis will be back So Allen + Lewis = tough game. Cleveland are always tough.
Chris Paul with a fit Hornets side is going to show that he is better than Deron.

Hornets are on a nice little streak too. Hopefully they can continue it with a win tonight and tomorrow going into the All-Star break. They've beaten Cleveland once this season (without West and Bobby Jackson) so it would be nice if they can pull it off again.

Lebron sucked that game, I hope they can shut his game again.

Desmond did a fairly good job of containing LeBron that night. I was waiting for him to explode and take over the game but he didn't.
