SI: Chandler finds his happy place...
And yet another Tyson article...
During the second quarter of a recent game at New York, Tyson Chandler, New Orleans/Oklahoma City's human pogo stick of a center, elevated high for an offensive rebound before landing softly just a few feet from the basket. Instead of pocketing a sure two points, Chandler tossed an errant pass toward one of his teammates that ended up in the Hornets' backcourt for a violation. As he headed back to the huddle, a wincing Chandler could only shake his head.
"I should have put that back up," he said later. "That's one of the things we have been working on."
The occasional mental error notwithstanding, this is not the same Tyson Chandler who was unceremoniously dumped by Chicago last summer, traded (if you can call it that) to the Hornets for a 37-year-old power forward (P.J. Brown), a shooting guard who had worn out his welcome (J.R. Smith) and a lifetime supply of cherry limeade. We're kidding about the last one. Sort of.
