Re: Pargo re-signs....
I guess him and his agent came to their senses. $2 million is not bad, but with the player option he can opt out again next year.

Re: Pargo re-signs....
New Orleans is looking strong again. They have a more than strong chance of bouncing out the Warriors for one of the lower seeds in the playoffs. Who knows? The Hornets could be next season's version of the Jazz.
PG: Chris Paul...Jannero Pargo
SG: Morris Peterson...Bobby Jackson
SF: Peja Stojakovic...Rasual Butler...Julian Wright...Marcus Vinicius
PF: David West...Cedric Simmons
C: Tyson Chandler...Hilton Armstrong

Re: Pargo re-signs....
I'm not a big fan of Pargo's style...Actually I think a shoot first point guard should have a lot more talent than he has.Under the circumstances it's hard not to like the move. There just isn't anyone else except Knight.

Re: Pargo re-signs....
I'm glad they re-signed him. He should provide a couple of fast points off the bench. He has decent defense, nice amount of energy. I'm glad they were able to work out a deal.

Re: Pargo re-signs....
Hornets, Pargo reach deal..
The Hornets' most overlooked overachiever last season was Jannero Pargo, who nearly doubled his average in points and minutes per game from the season before.
And so, the Hornets doubled his salary.
The Hornets reached a verbal agreement with Pargo, an unrestricted free agent, who will sign a two-year contract worth $4 million.
"We are pleased," Hornets General Manager Jeff Bower said. "He will officially re-sign with the team sometime next week."
Last season, Pargo played in all 82 games, starting seven, and averaged 9.2 points in 20.8 minutes. He originally was signed last summer to be the third point guard behind Chris Paul and Bobby Jackson, but Pargo's progress and injuries to both players propelled him into the rotation.
Pargo, 6 feet 1, 175 pounds, logged minutes at point and shooting guard, and he had a knack for fourth-quarter sharpshooting. He scored 15 or more points 18 times last season. And perhaps his best game was the Jan. 16 overtime win against the Orlando Magic, when he scored 25 points, including 21 after halftime.
For the Hornets, his ability to mesh with teammates on and off the court made him valuable. Pargo has an outgoing, effervescent personality, and he is a close friend with many of the Hornets, notably center Tyson Chandler, his former teammate with the Chicago Bulls.
