The New Orleans Hornets roster
I was just thinking about some of the bench squads in the league (and especially point guard depth) when I realised this - aside from a solid bigman, the Hornets have a damn good bench. And hell, Armstrong isn't that bad.
The PG rotation of Paul/Jackson/Pargo is pretty solid imo, and there are several quality wing players on the squad too: Peja, Peterson, Butler, and hopefully Wright and Vinicius (I completely forgot the Hornets drafted him) can show something too.
I'd go so far as to say that the skill positions (SF-SG-PG) are all at least two-deep on the Hornet squad.
The frontcourt depth is problematic though - Armstrong and Simmons, and that's it. Chandler and West are a solid starting duo, but the bench there definitely needs improvement. In the playoffs, 2 guys in the frontcourt isn't gonna cut it. You need at least one, preferably 2, solid bigmen on the bench.
The Spurs have Horry/Elson; the Heat had Alonzo (he's getting old now); the Raptors have Rasho/Garbajosa; the Mavs have Dampier; you get my drift..
If this one flaw can be corrected, I see no reason the Hornets shouldn't be a second round team this year. Though of course facing the Spurs or Suns in the first round would be a *****.

How well is the Knicks Starters vs NBA Team Starters? 60%? 50%? 40%? or are we waiting to see by being optimistic because we have a new additional player in the Starting lineup that we assume Stat sheet record says he is better with this Knick roster than the guy he is replacing?
