New Orleans Hornets (4-2) @ Philadelphia 76ers (2-3)..
VS.
Wachovia Center, Philadelphia, PA
5:00pm CST
Preview
After matching the best start in team history with four consecutive wins, the New Orleans Hornets looked more like the team that missed the playoffs the last three seasons as they dropped their next two games.
The Hornets look to get back on track Sunday when they try to beat the Philadelphia 76ers on the road for the first time in more than four years.
New Orleans (4-2) averaged 107.0 points and shot 47.9 percent from the floor and 45.3 from 3-point range during its 4-0 start. That run was capped with a 118-104 road win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday.
The Hornets, though, lost their next two, 93-90 at Portland the following night and 97-85 to San Antonio on Friday. They struggled from the floor in both defeats, shooting 41.1 percent and 25.9 from beyond the arc, and scored 19.5 points per game less than they did during the winning streak.
"We had a hard time executing what we wanted to accomplish out there," Hornets forward Tyson Chandler said after the loss to the Spurs. "A good team like that makes you pay for your small mistakes."

I just noticed that a lot of the games this month won't be shown on TV down here. The good thing about the 76ers game is I'll be able to watch them and the Hornets play in the arena on Wednesday. Peja, MoPete, and Butler really need to crank it up this game. The Spurs made them nonexistent.

I noticed that. That sucks. Out of the next 11 during the month of November, only 4 more will be televised. And you're right, we're definitely going to need more out of those 3 guys you mentioned.

Hornets win! No starter played in the 4th quarter. The bench was able to carry some of the load tonight. On to the Nets tomorrow.

The bench played pretty well in this game...Maybe their bench just isn't any good because it sort of looked easy.Paul made a couple of circus shots in this game.Other guys blew it on a few great passes.I think maybe Bowen was surprised when he hit him under the rim with that three quarter court bullet pass off the dribble.

Yeah, I'll bet Bowen was really surprised by that one.
