New Orleans Hornets (8-2) @ Minnesota T'Wolves (1-6)
VS.
Target Center, Minneapolis, MN
7:00pm CST

Preview
A pair of four-game winning streaks this season have helped the New Orleans Hornets to their best start in franchise history. They'll get the chance to improve their record against one of the league's weakest teams when they visit the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night.
New Orleans (8-2), which opened 2007-08 with four straight wins, matched that run on Friday with a 120-118 overtime victory against Memphis. David West's game-winning jumper with 8.3 seconds left capped a career-high 40-point night.
"I am more happy with the fact that we were able to gut this one out," said West, who had been held to 16 points or fewer in each of his last four games. "They closed in on us down the stretch hitting some big 3s, and we were able to muster a good five minutes to close them out."
West, averaging a team-high 20.4 points, was 17-of-29 from the field to help the Hornets to their best mark through the first 10 games for the first time in the club's 20-year existence. New Orleans hasn't won five straight since Feb. 8-15, 2006.
Chris Paul scored a season-high 28 and added 13 assists. Peja Stojakovic had 17 points, while Tyson Chandler had his third straight double-double with 12 points and 17 boards.
More
I hope the Hornets don't take the T'Wolves lightly just because they're 1-6. Al Jefferson is a beast and their team is pretty young. This is a second game of a back-to-back and the Hornets went into OT with the Grizzlies so hopefully they'll manage to pull off the win tonight. The T'Wolves played last night as well but both of their games are home games. Hornets' bench needs to step up to give the starters some rest. Please Hornets, no let downs.

i think we can handle jefferson decent down low, im actually worried about mccants lighting us up from the outside tonight, as its been a perimeter oriented player to lead the other team in scoring against us every game this season.

I expect CP3 to light it up. We don't have anyone past Telfair who could keep with him. I'll second that McCants comment, and I think the frontcourts are going to match-up pretty well.

I guess CP is out with a sprained ankle. He must have played the end of last night's game on it.Sounds like they intend to be cautious with it

I like that sig picture Diable. Yeah that was gutsy of Paul to come out and continue to play after rolling that ankle last night. They'll be cautious. I wouldn't be surprised to see him out there on Monday or Wednesday although Scott said he'll probably sit him for those games. I watched Indiana whip up on Utah tonight. Indiana looked good and we have them coming up this week.
