New Orleans Hornets (12-6) vs. Detroit Pistons (12-5)

VS.

New Orleans Arena, New Orleans, LA
7:00pm CST

Preview

Coasting through their best stretch of the season has allowed to the Detroit Pistons to give their starters plenty of rest.

A fresh Pistons team look to extend their winning streak to a season-high five games when they meet the New Orleans Hornets on Wednesday night for the first time this season.

New Orleans and Detroit split two games last season, with each winning on the road. The Pistons have won five of the last six meetings overall.

Central Division-leading Detroit (12-5) has been dominant during its run, outscoring its opponents by an average of 23.8 points. The Pistons have essentially played four straight three-period games, with their starters getting ample rest in the final quarter.

Detroit led Atlanta by 28 before turning the game over to its reserves in a 106-95 win Tuesday night.

The Pistons have been playing real good lately. I'm taking a couple of co workers and I'm hoping to see a real good game.

I'm trying to watch this game on NBA broadband, but when you try to click on the link it sends you to the stupid Houston-Memphis game instead.

13 bench points is not going to get it done against NBA competition.

As for some positive news Tyson Chandler is a man possessed this season. Keep it up Tyson!

Re: New Orleans Hornets (12-6) vs. Detroit Pistons (12-5)

Tyson looked to be the only player who bought his game to the arena tonight. Mo got a strained back muscle or something. I thought maybe he bruised his hip or something the way he kept holding it. Hope he's ok for Friday. I don't know why Scott didn't give Butler some PT. He may have helped a bit more than Bobby tonight. Maybe. Maybe not. They've both been inconsistent lately so who knows.

Not gonna get it done at all. Starters shouldn't have to play 38-43 minutes a night. Tyson played 43 minutes tonight.

They just said on the news that Mo said his back just stiffened up on him. They'll know more about him on tomorrow.

I had no idea Chauncey shot just as bad as CP tonight.

The Hornets bench is a crapshoot. You roll the dice and some times you hit a seven...but you usually crap out.BJax and Pargo are just wildly inconsistent players and they aren't going to pass on enough shots to let you see what anyone else might do.

Re: New Orleans Hornets (12-6) vs. Detroit Pistons (12-5)

This team came out swinging in the first quarter. In the second quarter it was like a whole new team came on the court. They were flat and were playing totally out of sync. Note to Scott, Rasual and Hilton are not your only problems on the bench. He decided to bench Rasual tonight and I hate to say it but we needed him. Even if he couldn't hit not one shot, Pargo could not guard RiP. There's at least a 6 inch height difference. Then Pargo ended up with only 3 points. Bobby Jackson is a liability.

He was running and then he just pulled up, I figured it had to be his back. CP played Chauncey tough tonight, but he wasn't able to get into the game offensively.

You're right. Sual could've at least helped on defense. BS is stupid.
