What a heart-breaking loss. I guess Washington got revenge for the way they lost last season's game.

Re: New Orleans Hornets (37-17) vs. Washington Wizards (26-29)
Frustrating game to watch. There needs to be help on opposing wing defense, cause Deshaun just went off on us. Also, is it just me, or does David West play out his pump fake and drive too much. He doesn't seem to go for the set up jumper now a days.
P.S. - Being from DC, I do like the Wizards. However, I've always rooted for the Hornets since I started following the NBA back in the mid-90's.

there's no excuse for this. You have to shoot better from the free throw line...And Tyson has to stop playing so damned soft. There's no excuse for letting Brendan Heywood outplay you like this.Stevenson probably never has another game like this.

Turnovers killed us big time too. David West seemed to have a lot. Tyson also seems to be playing crappy defense nowadays, or at least soft.
As for Deshaun, I thought it was kinda weird seeing undersized Mike James towards the end. I thought Mo, who was having a good game, should have been brought back earlier to defend him.

Re: New Orleans Hornets (37-17) vs. Washington Wizards (26-29)
I feel sick right now. 3rd 3-game losing streak of the season. I can't believe there was no full court pressure on Stevenson at all. Mo got caught up in the Haywood screen and Stevenson got right past Peja. Sickening. Can't afford to lose these types of games. Especially not with Phoenix and Utah coming in.
Tyson sucked tonight, West sucked tonight, Peja's shooting sucked tonight, Suck, suck, suck.
Mo was hot early. He should've put Mo in earlier during the 4th. SUCKS!!!!!!

Re: New Orleans Hornets (37-17) vs. Washington Wizards (26-29)
Let's just hope it gets pulled back together. This is a tough loss, especially with everyone playing ante up in the West. Just settle down the players, especially Tyson and West, who seemed to be ticked off with a lot of calls and racking up technicals, and get them down to playing defense. The NBA.com power rankings said we had like a 117 defensive rating the past week (that's bad, if you don't know what it is). Tyson has got to go back to being a great help defender and toughening up on the boards, instead of doing his best Rasheed Wallace impersonation and playing Amare-esque defense (no offense to either of those players).

And to make matters worse, it was a career night for Stevenson. I feel like burying my head in the sand for about a week. If no one sees me here, that's where I'll be.

Re: New Orleans Hornets (37-17) vs. Washington Wizards (26-29)
the Wiz go to Houston and only score 23 in the 1st half...Only have 61 with less than five minutes in the game. That just irks the hell out of me.Washington is a bad team, but they come in shot lights out from the FT line, only have seven TO's and get a career game from Stevenson...Ugh

Yeah, go figure. The Jazz even lost to Minny tonight. What in the world is going on?
Houston is still hot and trying to prove people wrong that said they'd go down with Yao out. Pair that with the Wizards probably wearing themselves out last night against the Hornets and there you go .... a blowout by Houston. Stevenson evidently wore himself out going for a career high and tonight he ends up going 2-12 for 5 points. Sucks. No doubt this will be one the Hornets will be wishing they could get back.
I'm now wondering if the Suns will come in still running on momentum or did the Grizzlies wear them down? Memphis made them work for that win tonight. Suns only started pulling away within the last 3 or 4 minutes.
