Who is...

the Hornets backup center now. I've watched a couple of games recently and I just can't figure it out. In fact the best I can figure is that they literally do not have one. Hilton's apparently sucked his limit in the NBA. Marks and Diogu have what about 2 minutes between them this year. It looks like West is the center mostly when Okafor sits. Of course the two of them are probably the same height and weight more or less.

Re: Who is...

Yeah basically right now since Armstrong sucks and Marks is out with what started as a shoulder strain, and then when almost back from that something happened to one of his calves, the Hornets don't have a REAL center on the floor once Okafor sits. Usually Posey or Songaila get off the bench when Okafor sits. ESPN's Marc Stein has commented that he thinks the Hornets seem to think they can trade Armstrong. I'm just curious to see which team in the world would want him. He has a qualifying offer for 2010-11 close to $4million.

Re: Who is...

Haha! Funny we talk about Hilton. Apparently he's been traded to the Kings.

I used to have hopes for the guy but that went away by the end of last season. Good luck to him in the future.

Re: Who is...

If Hilton gets Gilbert Arenas to take a crap in his shoe he'll have more than he'll ever see of that QO. I'm guessing the Hornets gave the Kings enough cash to cover his salary for at least this year. I believe the maximum you can send in a deal is 3 million. Rest of this year would be around 1.8 million. I'm guessing that this 2nd Round pick has vastly better protection than a White House dinner party too.

Re: Who is...

I never liked the Hilton Armstrong pick from the start. At most I hoped he would turn into a third string center.

The guy was so soft the Hilton Hotel company hired him to be the spokesman for their mattresses.

Re: Who is...

It's just what you get when you draft for positional need in the middle of the first round. The Hornets needed a big man. I really hoped the guy from NC State who bombed out was going to be a rotation player. Hornets drafted twice for need in the middle of that first round. Neither one of them was worth a third round pick it turns out. Don't think there were a lot of gems in that draft off the top of my head.

they had a chance to take ronnie brewer, and if they did that probably wouldnt have signed mo-pete. Obviously its easier to look back knowing what we do now, but that wouldve seriously helped us with the cap situation and overall status as a team right now.

Re: Who is...

I hate to even ask why Collison didn't play tonight. I was listening to the Philly broadcast. Sixers big men really killed the Hornets tonight. Of course you knew Okafore wasn't going to hit 9 straight free throws.

I think I would have rather seen CP drive than whatever the heck Peja was trying to do...I guess he had an open shot and decided to have a spazz attack instead of looking at the rim.
