Allen Houston is the leader of this team but he's 34 and hes not getting any younger we can't always depend on him to carry this team

Marbury is a great great basketball player, but is he ready to carry this team and consider himself a real franchiserr player?

Marbury is the most talented PG in the NBA without a question, but this guy can really make some dumb descions espcially in the NJ Nets playoffs, when Knicks went on a run in the first half Marbury would shoot 3's with 20 secs left in the shot clock, really bad shot sleection when Marbury is in the clutch

The True Essence

we lost to minnesota, indiana, boston, and san antonio. 3 of the 4 are championship contenders. we should have beaten boston but that happens. its still early. last year we had a tough early schedule too. in the end of the year we play mostly our divisions teams and thats where we'll pick up.

I don't really see how any of what Isiah has done compromises us down the road--we still have many upcoming expiring contracts in the next 2 years, we have two young promising players, one a post presence and one a slashing, high-flying defenisive whiz. Both our guards are possible allstars in their 20s. Isiah HAS rebuilt the team, while actually maintaining the mild amount of flexibility we have. We'll be able to get serious value for Penny's contract and Houston's and that might just get us the 5 and the true 3 we need. I expect us to be a true contender in 06-07 and a playoff team the 2 yrs before that--nothing to complain about after the last 5 years.

That is a very accurate assessment..Whether we suck or not,Zeke has done the smart thing from a financial and cap perspective.If you have unlimited funds(cablevision),being one dollar over the cap vs 60 million,does not matter.

Duration,not magnitude is what truly matters in the case of the Knicks,and you are dead right..And for some reason rashidi can not grasp this concept...Once again,until H20 comes off the books,it doesnt matter who you signed and for how much.The only person traded and signed with a contract past H20's is Junkyard and Of course JC who is young and heading into his prime

Penny and TT are done next year as are Naz and baker.It will e interesting to see what Zeke does with 40 million of expiring contracts
