Eddie Robinson anyone? -- NY Post

Quote:
February 16, 2005 -- Knick wannabe Eddie Robinson, spurned by the club three months ago when its medical staff recommended he undergo surgery on a congenital defect in his big toe, is ready to make a comeback after the All-Star break, The Post has learned.
After failing the Knicks' physical Nov. 15, the free-agent Robinson ultimately eschewed the advice of Knicks new medical chief Lisa Callahan and did not undergo surgery on his foot.
Robinson, who was bought out by the Bulls, planned to sit out the season since he was getting paid, but five weeks ago became bored and started working out, with eyes on a 10-day contract. He's extremely athletic and still only 28.
His agent, James Bryant, said yesterday Robinson is now in game shape and has fielded inquiries from five teams, including the Pacers.
Knicks president Isiah Thomas loves Robinson's game and the Knicks are light at swingman, but it may be difficult for him to show renewed interest after the medical team viewed he could have long-term foot problems. The flip side is a 10-day contract is minimal risk. Ten-day contracts only become permissible after Jan. 5.
"Eddie would still love to play for the Knicks, it's still a good fit," Bryant said.

I think he is going to do it.
And it might be his "deadline" move.

Robinson was an exciting prospect a few years ago with the Hornets. I dont know what the hell happened to him. Maybe he's ready to resume blossoming again. Go for it, sign him.
