Rashidi's thoughts on the trades.
I'm sure the lot of you have been just dying to know what I think about the mastermind and his recent trades.
The truth is, I could care less. I've lost complete interest in the Knicks, and these moves do nothing to change that. The Knicks are moving sideways rather than up or down.
Rose is better than Mohammed with a worse contract. The picks recieved from the Spurs are obviously for future trades. At least one can only hope. Early second rounders are more valuable than late first round picks nowadays since they aren't guaranteed contracts.
Taylor for Baker and Norris? Isn't Taylor injured and not playing? I remember when the Knicks were signing Taylor... back when he was young and had potential for improvement. Thanks to injuries (and padded Clipper stats that made him appear better) he's a PF with a decent shot that can't defend or rebound. Sounds like Tim Thomas minus the 3pt range. Ha ha, I take that back, Taylor has a slightly higher work ethic than Thomas and has a few post moves. Considering the Knicks have the 2nd worst opponent's FG% in the league, there is no doubt that Isiah made this move because he wanted the Knicks to be the best at something.
The one good thing about these trades is they were 4 for 2 trades. They slightly improved the talent of the contracts on the roster, and freed up space to add more scrubs for cheap. Maybe Isiah will finally take my advice and bring Omar Cook in, especially since the Knicks have no backup PGs, unless you actually WANT to count Crawford and Penny. Technically, the Knicks have 0 PGs on the team (though that was the case anyway before all these trades anyway). So please bring in Cook if you truly are the mastermind Isiah.
What Isiah will do: Claim Kedrick Brown off waivers. Then he'll claim Andre Barrett since Houston just got a bajillion PGs.
Man, that Van Horn trade looks better and better everyday.
You know, the Warriors took Baron Davis off New Orleans hands for Speedy Claxton and Dale Davis. I'd have given up Marbury for that combo in a heart beat.

He is very healthy, the guy just couldn't work himself into the Rockets rotation since Juwan Howard has been playing so well and Taylor does not bring anything to the table Juwan doesn't.

good post rashidi, except van horn is having the worst year of his career as well.
So van horn turned into Tim Thomas, Malik Rose, and 2 first round picks. you wouldnt do that trade?

Re: Rashidi's thoughts on the trades.
The team needs guards that can pass and handle the ball more than they need another SF behind Ariza. I'd rather have Ariza get all the garbage minutes, instead of giving them to a has been former #29 pick that is long removed from high school.

Re: Rashidi's thoughts on the trades.
Van Horn had 10 points and 7 rebounds off the bench in 23 minutes for Dallas. For whatever reason when he came back from injury they kept him on the bench in favor of Toni Kukoc.... who I'm surprised wasn't traded. I wonder if Milwaukee would have taken Baker and that 2nd rounder for him, they make similar money... and I know I'd rather have Kukoc than Taylor.
It's worth mentioning that Tim Thomas' season high is 9 rebounds, and that he has played as many as 40 minutes twice.
