I'm glad Crawford will have someone to talk to on the bench in the 4th quarter.

Re: Jamal Crawford is happy.
I forget what all the ties are but more and more this team is becoming jamal's team with Steph as an outsider. Jamal is supposedly tight with Curry, Q, Nate, and somehow Frye, Nate and Lee all know each other and are friendly too. And by virtue of age I'd put ariza in that mix too. They are the new brred core of this team and constitute a full lineup unto themselves. Nate, JC, Q, Frye, Curry can field a squad a squad of friends amenable to Jamal as their PG or "leader".

I am sorry to poop in your party. But Jamal as a PG has been dubious experiment so far at best in his 5 years of NBA career and Jamal as a leader is down-right scary thought to me. I have never thought of him as a leader kind of guy. Talented offensive threat, all but too streaky to my taste and defensive liability, YES. But Jamal, a leader of the team? NOOOOO.

Re: Jamal Crawford is happy.
If Jamal plays better defense then he could run LB's offense effectively. I mean Billups isn't exactly a prototype for pass first PGs but he had no trouble running it in Detroit. That's not to say JC is as talented as Billups but just to say you don't have to be a perfect PG to make it work.

I have always taken crawford as a fairweather guy as far as leadership, he has had his moments where he has shown extremely poor judgement in regards to leadership , and he has had moments where he looks like napolean. i would say the good outweighs the bad.
he can take teammates to task over failing to to do their roles.
he appears to be a more team oriented guy than lets say stephon.
he also appears to have several friends as teammates, which speaks alot about him as an affable personality. (curry , Nate , sweetney, JYD, stephon & jalen rose have all seemingly gravitated to him completely independant of one another) even a supposed enemy on his team jay williams , he got along with very well with by the end of their only season together. its alot easier to follow someone if you like them.
he also appears to garner GM's backing when they move to aquire him. He has gotten a rep as a student of the game , which seems odd considering how he plays completely off of instinct and that many would consider putting it nicely.
jamal as a pg to me has worked out well , they(the bulls) were significantly better when he started as a pg than when he didn't as a team., his game at pg can serve as an energizing force to his teammates and his energy can be infectious.

I never claimed him to be a leader, but this is a team with a leadership vacuum. The spot is there for the taking. The larger point is that this appears to be a team crafted of his cronies; cronies who would take him as a leader - where Steph seems to have a problem attracting a similar following. It could even end up being Nate, as he is also part of this new "core with ties". How it will all work out is anybody's guess.
