Rumor: Eddie Curry In Debt?
Take this with a grain of salt:
Quote:
Rumor has Eddy spent his rookie money frivolously – no surprise most NBA players do, but there was talk that Eddy had gotten himself into some pretty serious debt, and that the only way out was a massive contract – which is why Eddy pushed so hard for the Bulls to make a deal last year.
Rumor has it Eddy may have already taken the DNA test the Bulls were pushing for and did not like the results, hence his hard line stance on not taking the test for the Bulls.

Re: Rumor: Eddie Curry In Debt?
DNA test part is doubtful.
The debt part... its been around for awhile that he has some fairly serious obligations and at one point last year approached some teammates for loans.
That said, the extent of those obligations are likely lessened with the healthy contract he has.
Heres to hoping he spends more wisely, and remains healthy.
And that he plays like crap when its against the Bulls.

If he took the DNA test, that info would have probally leaked already.
The debt part I believe because most atheletes go threw that.

Yeah, the debt part I believe. He's young, and when you have millions in front of you, you think that it will never run out, and you spend it like a wild man. He's likely smartened up, though.
The DNA part I don't believe, though.

Re: Rumor: Eddie Curry In Debt?
Isn't it easy to throw "rumor has it" in front of a long sentence of what is more likely than not junk?
That article proved how easy it is.

Re: Rumor: Eddie Curry In Debt?
The Curry in debt think has been publicised for a very long time in the Chicago press. Hoopsworld are oh so conveniently claiming it as their own. Eddy took a big loan off a teammate. Whilst it wasn't ever confirmed, we believe it to have been Antonio Davis.

To pay off his debt. Which he ran up. On stuff. Like the odd Bentley.
