Quote:
Q: What are your feelings about how training camp has been thus far?
Larry Brown: Camp’s been okay. The effort’s been great. I think our young kids are going to make a contribution. We think we had a great draft with Channing Frye, Nate Robinson and David Lee. Include Jackie Butler in that draft. We got him late at the end of last year, a high school kid that didn’t get drafted.
Q: What has been your impression of Nate Robinson so far?
Brown: He’s been a lot of fun. He’s been well-coached. He’s an unbelievable competitor. I don’t think he’s a point guard right now, and that’s going to take some time but he can defend, he can shoot the ball better than I expected.
Q: What are the main things you’ve been trying to get across to Stephon Marbury?
Brown: Stephon can score. He’ll do that by accident. He can defend. I think he’d tell you that I just want him to be perfect every night and every practice.
