Knicks cut matt barnes
"New York Knickerbockers President of Basketball Operations Isiah Thomas announced today that forward Matt Barnes has been waived. Barnes, 6-7, 225-pounds, averaged 4.3 points and 4.0 rebounds in six games for the Knicks. The Citrus Heights, CA-native was originally signed as a free agent on Oct. 6, 2005. The roster is now at 14."

obviously there is a move coming either a free agent signing or a trade ...it makes little sense to cut a 3 when you only have one true small forward left on the roster(ariza)...i say wait until xmas before you condemn this move ...if IT has done nothing but cut barnes , then yeah it was a bad move , because it didn't help, it would just have weakened the knicks at their weakest position
(matt barnes btw cant be traded until jan. 6th for some reason, which is another reason i suspect a trade more than a signing)
