Larry Brown fired his strongest warning that the Knicks are poised to make a change on the dreaded Dec. 15 deadline.
In the wake of Saturday's surprise waiving of small forward Matt Barnes, Brown pumped up that December date again, clearly with eyes on solving the two needs Brown has pinpointed. For weeks, Brown has talked about a need of upgrading the backup point guard slot and small forward.
On Dec. 15, teams can begin trading most of the free-agents they signed over the summer. The open roster spot allows the Knicks, who fell to 5-11 after yesterday's damaging 102-99 loss to Boston, to make a 2-for-1 trade or sign a free agent.
Brown said both are distinct possibilities, saying "Maybe we'll surprise you and we'll have a new guy in the locker room during our next trip. You never know."
The Knicks flew to Seattle, where they begin a three-game Western trip tomorrow. They'll also face the Clippers and Phoenix. "The 15th is coming up," Brown said. " There's going to be a lot of movement on the 15th. Maybe we can get a better feel by that date and see what we need."

change is good.............................................. ..................... maybe the knicks would get some thought in their head on how top play, an LB is pissed, and will threaten them by saying, if you dont get a clue about how to play bball, then you could get the heck out of here.. and your butt is gone by the trade deadline!!!
