Harrington expects Thomas to show interest in the SF this offseason!
Quote:
"Harrington, who might be traded this season because he can become a free agent after it ends, said he expects Knicks president Isiah Thomas, who coached him in Indiana, to make a run at him. "I'm sure he is from everything I hear, but I've got to wait until that happens," said Harrington, who grew up in Elizabeth, N.J., rooting for the Knicks."

"It's been speculated since summer that Marbury could be used as bait to reel in Harrington. Atlanta is under the cap, so the Hawks can fit Marbury's salary in a 1-on-1 trade. Marbury, who had 21 points, is popular in Atlanta, having a splendid year with Georgia Tech."

"Harrington and Thomas, in fact, go back together to their days in Indiana, where Harrington said Thomas was the first coach to give him legitimate playing time. Even though Thomas once suspended him for smashing a picture, Harrington calls him "a father figure" and says the Thomas clan "is like family" to him."

Think he would be a good fit on the Knicks?
Worth giving up Marbury?

There is a serious trade Marbury faction around. Who'll play point afterward? I'd guess they'll have to sign a veteran PG, unless Robinson becomes more of a 1.

Crawford? Robinson? They have a few interesting names with a history at the point.

Not this Harrington bull**** please let's just sign him for an MLE in the summer and I'll be thrilled. If Marbury goes it HAS TO be Artest or someone better.
