we sucked before Marbury got here
I believe we were pretty awful before he came here. We started playing somewhat decent ball good enough to get into the playoffs after his arrival. Now since Larry Brown took over we are WORSE than before steph came here...also, what PG has won an NBA title without a decent big man?? ok besides Micheal Jordan..NO ONE..How bout we get a REAL coach and A REAL big man before we trash Marbury..I cant believe we will probably trade and get rid of a supreme talented hometown player for a stupid old washed up coach...Oh and I hear the Knicks are signing a Knicks city dancer to a 10 day contract so Larry Brown can give her the start in her hometown of Milwaukee for our next game..

Fordy classic but hmmmm you're right. 5 years in a row right of being a bad team. I think something big is about to go down, don't know what but I feel it in my bones. I think it was silly to start folks just because they represent their college or hometown. That is how he decides a lineup every night? LB is losing it, he is senile. Someone call a doctor and make sure LB is mentally stable to continue coaching this heartless squad. I'm surprise the media has been treating the Knicks with kid gloves so far.
Well Fordy, to tell you the truth right now you just got to laugh to keep from crying at this point.

Im so numb about the state of the Knicks, and the reason im numb instead of miserable and depressed is because im trying to stay humourous about it.

Wish you guys would get off the Hometown...
starting crap. It means little who starts. Its who plays meaningful minutes that counts. The fact that Lee started over Ariza at this point says more about who is NOT on the roster than who should start. Do you really think we sacrificed much by starting Lee over Ariza? Or Nate over JC?..Or JC over Q? Come on, we're all frustrated but stay focused. Brown is a great coach with a great staff (sometimes its easy to forget that there is more than one guy coaching) and Curry will be a monster...bank on it. He has had leg and ankle problems this year and has been unable to get healthy long enough to get in shape. Fortunately, he has no history of these. Last night....29-9 in 24 minutes against decent bigs. THAT, my friends is dominant. If he didn't get dinged up, he ends up with 35+ and 11+. Huge.
Aside from the obvious intensity deficit, we have a chemistry problem that we all knew was going to exist between Marbury and coach Brown, and it is affected the way the team functions. Admit it...we all know it. Marbury needs to go to another team. Then, this team needs to get smarter, damn it. Unforced TOs and and dumb shots have got to cease. I doubt you will see any run until the changing of the guard (no pun intended).

Get off the hometown? So if we got a player that averages less than 1 point per game and has no offensive or defensive skills what so ever, and we are on the road in his hometown he should start? I'm not talking about Lee in general, but if that's what LB is basing his rotation on then that is absolutley ridiculous. I think that's the point Fordy and I are trying to make. I know Grinch dosen't think Penny derserves a start, rightfully so because he quit on us, but Penny isn't turnover prone and has an understanding of the game. Why not give him a shot, since we giving Q aka Mr. Back Spasms a start time after time with 0 effectiveness.

I agree. I've been very angry every time LB does this. Of course, LB homers will disagree
And Alpha, I agree Curry has his moments. But he also has games where he scores 5 or 6 points and sits on the bench with 5 fouls the entire game. What Curry needs right now is conditioning and someone to convince him that defense is part of the NBA game.

Curry is inconsistent
but half the fouls he gets are bullcrap calls. You can't get into condition without playing. I would agree the lineup needs to be stabilized but we don't have any clearcut starters. Evereybody has had a chance and no one has distinguished themselves outside of Curry (when healthy), and Frye. Everybody else has been all over the map. You can make a case for playing or sitting almost anybody, thats how bad this team has played.
My question to both of you is this: Who has started in (or near) their hometown that is clearly inferior to the person sitting? Even our best guy (IMO,Frye) has been ineffective defensively.
