Why next game is so important.
After coming off a great wins against the suns, the knicks NEED to follow it up with another win friday night. The win against the suns means nothing if they go and lose to the Wizards. This is the game that will show if we really have the passion to come out of the hole the team put itself in. This game in my opinion, after the suns game, could make us or break us in a sense of confedence. If we cant beat the wizards after a game like the one the other night, the season is over, I mean what bigger jump start can they ask for? If we win it shows us and themselves they are ready to play some real b-ball.(hope the garden is nice and loud too)
GO KNICKS!!!

Re: Why next game is so important.
Damn skippy Tru, if we beat the Wizards that will be an added boast to our confidence. We haven't won 2 games in a row yet this season. (Which is quite sad). Hopefully we can get a W, and build off of that momentum. Like I said in the predict our record thread. The schedule isn't that bad, and we should be able to beat some of these teams. It's all about the matchup, and if the real Knick team decides to show up and compete for 4 qtrs, not just for 1 half then we are good to go.

Re: Why next game is so important.
Good points and also I think LB finally found a good starting lineup. Curry is finally looking like what we had all hope for, lee is a great addition to the starting lineup, and goes along with stephs game if you ask me. Lee can hit the mid range jumper when kicked out to him when steph drives and can run the fastbrake with him. Really though if we lose this game friday...its probally a sign of this season pretty much going the same it has all the way out. This knicks forum and the knicks should have a new slogan...."Its now or never"

Re: Why next game is so important.
Don't look now, but we're only 4.5 games out of a playoff spot. We have so much talent, and we have the best coach in the League. Even with our pathetic record, we still might see some playoff basketball in the Garden come Spring. We can put it together with all this talent and our great coach. We have an easy schedule this month, and if we get eight or nine wins, we may become the eighth seed. We're still in it, even though we have sucked thus far. I'm not giving up on this season yet, and you shouldn't either.

I agree with you 100%
I still think we can make the playoffs despite our very slow start
We are one of the most talented teams in the NBA even though our record isnt great.
Our coach is nice too.
If we can stop the Suns high powered offense, why cant we stop everybody else?

Well that might be a little much.

They missed alot of wide open threes/jumpers that they would normally hit. But if they put forth the effort they can be a good defensive team.

Knicks don't defend the perimeter...
...very well. Until they get consistently good at that they will not win consistently. They are improving, for sure, but if you are looking for a quick turn-around you will be disappointed. These guys are young and inexperienced at this level. As Billy Crystal says..."it's a process". Patience and strong stomachs will be required.

Re: Knicks don't defend the perimeter...
Well, if LB had gone with this lineup to begin with, we wouldn't be looking at that record. I've been bashing LB since the first game when he benched Frye and Lee (probably wasn't even activated) and with good reason. It took him like 8 straight losses to figure out what the rest of NY already knew: The vets on the Knicks are complete garbage. Doesn't even deserve to be on a college team except for Antonio Davis. Finally, LB is thinking logically. David Lee is the way to go. I've been saying this since training camp. Lee is the steal of that draft. I think he's even more valuable than Frye. Anyway, see, I don't even blame the team for the poor record. They couldn't help it that they were horrible players. I blame the coach. Sure, some of you say LB was trying to "shop" the vets. But in the end, I think he just made them look worse. I mean, come one, 8-22. If I see Malik Rose or Jerome James on that basketball court on friday at any time in the game, I won't be happy. Maurice Taylor, I can tolerate.
