my dad thinks that teams only need offense to win, he's like wouldnt you want to be leading by 15 with 1 minute to go? and he said he wants to draft adam morrison and J.J reddick, but what i said was that the knicks dont need anymore offense, they could score more than 100 points per game if LB let them shoot, and i also said we need a defensive big man to win and to draft Davis williams, foye or thomas iof we move up in the draft to put next to eddy currry, and gove him a presence. who was correct? me or my dad

Yeah, because the Spurs and Pistons aren't defensive teams and they're winning plenty of championships. Also, why the hell would you want to draft J.J. Reddick after he just went 3 of 18 from the floor in his teams biggest game of the year so far and basically cost them the game? He can't create his own shot, and god knows nobody on this team, the team that is dead last in assists, is going to pass him the ball. He could translate into a decent player for a team that actually knows how to pass, but that LSU game is signs of things to come for him in my opinion. Also, the Knicks are second to last only to the Portland Trail Blazers in scoring differential. Adam Morrison or certainly not J.J. Reddick are going to make up for six points a game. The Knicks are also the third worst team in points per game allowed in a system that is supposed to keep the game slowed down so that the opponent can't score. Also, if you're going to develop the offense, the Knicks don't need a guy like Reddick or Morrison who are going to whore shots like everyone else on this team, they need a player like Marcus Williams who lead Division I in assists, though it's blatently obvious that they need a defensive stopper first and foremost.

well thats as far as i can go back. so in recent history, you need defense. In fact, the pistons that won the championship with LB werent that good offensively at all

Obviously you're right, we have a bunch of people who can score well over 20 points if they wanted, but are they doing that right now? I can't remember the last time a Knick scored well over 30 this season. Brown limits his players, he wants us to play defense. Last nights game of LSU against Duke proved that he had nothing else to show when he gets shut down. Thus, we really don't need him, we need a difference maker.

i have NO idea why the knicks are dead last in assists, i mean all we DO is passs and not shoot,maybe its because the knicks dribble or cannot capitalize, so when they gho up for the shot, they miss and get the rebound, i mean we ae leaders in rebounds
