What I would do if I was the owner of the NY Knicks!
First off let me just start by saying firing Larry Brown was a complete mistake. I don't agree with Larry Brown's style most of the time but lets face it he's a proven winner. Second off I wouldn't have replaced L. Brown with I. Thomas. I. Thomas has a good eye for talent but doesn't make the smartest moves. I. Thomas must have seen what Pat Riley did in Miami this year and is like I can do that too, but enough about the love hate triangle w/ J. Dolan I Thomas and L Brown.
As owner of the Knicks I would:
Attempt to trade S. Marbury and S. Francis and if I can't get anybody good for them I would pay them to sit at home and watch the Knicks from their own T.V.s. Knowing Marbury and Francis' egos they would have been like listen we'll take a paycut to play elsewhere just get rid of us.
Let the younger guys play more. I rather win 22 games with younger guys and have them gain experience then to have Francis Marbury playing most of the time and losing 60 games.
I would hold on the expiring contracts and do what most other teams do, LET THEM EXPIRE!
If all that doesn't work I would just step down from all NBA operations and say **** it i'm down.
But you know what is worst thing about all this?
I. Thomas taking over head coach.
S. Marbury will be movitated to play for him and the knicks will look like the team to be within the first 30 games. Then Marbury will get bored and blame the coach, team and whoever else that isn't named starbury. The knicks will end their season with about 30 wins and fail to reach the playoffs again. I. Thomas will be fired at the end of the season, J. Dolan will look like a jack *** and try to trade the team for the Laker Girls. I can't wait for the soap opera to begin its new season.
