Do You Think Curry Is Better Than Everyone Else In The Draft?
Now that the draft order has been completed, do any of you guys think any of the top 20 are better than Eddie Curry? If so, who would you have selected if you still had the #2 pick. IMO I would have selected a couple of kids before Eddie Curry especially after witnessing his performance this past season.

Nahs, Curry isn't even a complete player yet. I would've picked Saer Sene over him, even though Sene doesn't have an offensive game, defensively he's completely got Curry on a lock.

He would've been a top 10 pick in this draft but I don't know if he's better then some of these guys yet.

I think you're overrating Sene. Most people haven't seen much of him other than clips (I don't know, maybe you've seen more). Sene is the most overrated player in the draft - he averages around 3/3 in the Euro league. He's grouped with Darko, Skita, and Pavel as the Euro players that have been drafted on potential, and not performance. And to date, no player drafted purely on potential has panned out.

There are a bunch of players I'd rather have than Curry, starting with Bargnani and Aldridge. So that #2 overall would have been better. (Deliberately not thinking about the other 1st rounder that was given up...)

yea i still would have taken eddy curry number 1 overall. i wouldnt have taken bargnani number 1 though because i dont like foreign players. but you never know aldridge could suck and bargnani could be sick or vice versa. we'll find out in summer league and this upcoming season.

I wouldn't compare Curry to the rest of this draft alone. I would compare him to the players of this year and next years (if the Knicks have another lottery pick the Bulls could swap with)

i dont happen to share knicks management's assessment that eddy is a franchise center .
i liken more to a 2nd tier guy similar to rik smits(at his best) in overall impact one day.
a center who can defend other centers well without need of a double team, and scores at a very efficient rate, but isn't the best rebounder or lane dender , but i expect eddy to improve over his current level in that dept, to mediocre , possibly avg.
and i would take that over any player in this draft .

Eddy Curry is not a franchise center like Yao or Shaq, he never will be. Curry is not a type of player you build around, but he's rather more of Brad Miller, Zydrunas Ilgauskus, type of guy, someone who can play sidekick to a star.
