i dont think its ideal but it gives some real advantages .
virtually no player coach dissension because the coach can get rid of you .
allows for the choice of optimum trade value because you can showcase guys to make them look good , possibly better than they are.
unity in the coaching/front office , no coach bashing players and rumors the front office upset with them causing dissension among the coaching staff, what Zeke says essentially goes for every1 except the players.
it brings some problems but in the knicks case it may be more help than harm.
