Feelings on Curry....
I've gone back and forth with Twink and Grinch all season about big Eddy. This is precisely how I feel. I absolutely love his low post scoring game. I love his attitude. I hate the fact that he is so bad at defense and rebounding and passing. As a second option and threat, I could certainly live with him if he played much better defense. It is my goal as a fan to have the Knicks compete for and win a title. Watching the playoffs just solidifies my convictions that #1 options with major weaknesses can be exploited and shut down. Seeing the Pistons throw all kinds of doubles and triples against LeBron to the point he has 6 TOs and is not anywhere near as effective as he normally would be begs the question: "If LJ has trouble making teams pay for doubling, etc., how in the world can we expect EC to succeed at it"? We can't, and he won't. I can't recall the last team to win it with so much riding on one man's shoulders....and such imperfect shoulders at that. Under any circumstance, he needs to better his defense first, and rebounding second. Then he needs to be a 2nd option to a first option we do not yet have.

Re: Feelings on Curry....
I love Curry as a person, he seems to get along with the rest of his guys. I'm pretty down the middle when it comes to him at this point. Sometimes I feel like strangling him because he is so damn lazy, I have never seen such a lazy lima bean in my life. There are times when the ball is right there for him to rebound and he just stands their looking into space, while one of his teammates rebounds the ball for him. He is lazy on defense, he wouldn't rotate or attempt to block shots to save your life, unless it's by accident. His offensive game has improved tremendously, and I give Isiah credit for that. He also needs to work on his passing, just imagine if he was half way decent in that department? When you are double teamed that much, you should learn how to pass to the open man. That's where we need a shooter an Allan Houston type that can make it happen. He can be explosive, on the post but Isiah has to realize that he should not be the #1 option next season. We may have to adjust our offensive and make someone the #1 option, or make a blockbuster deal for either JO, Pau..etch and make them a #1 option and Curry #2.
Lastly, when he does have the hot hand they need to keep going back to him until he cools off. There were times when he was on fire, but our guards elected to chuck up shots and refuse to give him the ball when he is in a great position, and you pretty much can blame the coach for that.
So pretty much Dog we are in agreement when it comes to Curry, nothing against the guy we want him to succeed but he has to improve in those specific areas.

Chosen, I couldn't agree more. Next year is go time.
That being said, if we go in with the same roster as this year, we're toast.

Re: Feelings on Curry....
On the truth, it's really not about Eddy Curry next season.
Curry is not going to make any miracle change over the offseason (We seen his best this past season). That is why the majority of Knick-Fans is thinking KG, O'Neal, and Artest.
It's all about 9th pick Channing Frye leading the Knicks Frontcourt next season.
After what President/Coach Isiah Thomas did to Channing Frye role on this Knick Team in his second season in the NBA, I too agree that Channing frye deserves a second season without the role that was given to him this past season.
All Knick-Fans seen tapes of Channing Frye in the weight Gym last offseason building up body muscles to play deep inside the middle paint for the upcomming season. Even practicing 10 foot hook-shots which he never got a chance to use with Eddy Curry playingtime increased to 35 MPG with Channing Frye averaging 25 MPG alongside of Curry this past season (Channing Frye was the ideal Back-up Center for Eddy Curry 24 MPG).
David Lee & Jerome James should've been used as the Knicks PF.
Q.Richardson & Balkman should've been used as the Knicks SF.
Marbury & Crawford should've been the Knicks Starting backcourt.
Francis, Nate, and Collins should've been the Knicks backup Guards & Backcourt runners.
The above is how you take advantage of the strength, speed, and talents of all your young players.
Jared Jefferies should've been a Bench Watcher with spot-roles of playingtime this past season, only if he could do a better job than Malik Rose as a Spot Role player, which I doubt.
This Knick Team was misorganized by the Head Coach, and Coached wrong the entire season, that is why important players got injured all at the same time in the second half of the season.

Re: Feelings on Curry....
frye is just going to have to get used to not having plays called for him.
lee never gets plays for him yet he was averaging a double double for some part of the season.
frye has to learn how to find his own shots, when to take it inside on a smaller/slower defender and when to pop the J on a taller defensive player. he seems to rely to much on his shot and when that doesn't start falling early he gets discouraged. he needs to man up and realize that you cant make every shot. your bound to miss and have off nights thats part of the game.
i dont care about frye averaging double figures in points. i want to see him crash the boards, use his length, speed, agilty, and stop picking up cheap fouls

David Lee and Channing Frye has two different types of styles, maybe that is why they play so well together. Plus their short time on this Knick Team they both learned to help each other talents on court.
Channing Frye strong talents are him playing an inside-outside running game (as the Center), not a Halfcourt game with Curry always in the middle.
Frye never had a problem attacking the glass to score or rebound alongside of teammates Lee, James, Taylor, and Butler.
In Frye Rookie season if he did not give the team any scoring than he would provide rebounding.
This past season Frye role was to stay out of the middle on offense even when he had smaller oponents guarding him.
What made things look real bad for this Knick team was Curry getting doubled or trippled by Marbury oponent, Francis oponent, and Frye oponent, with Curry not being able to pass to any of these open players, so Curry would either force the shot or committ a turnover.
