Extended Knick Draft Poll
I figured I would gives us a wider selection. Who would you most like to see the Knicks end up with on draft day if they don't trade their pick?

Re: Extended Knick Draft Poll
Draft isn't my expertise, but I selected Almond. I hear and read some decent things about his range. If he has the kind of jumper and range that H20 had, then I wouldn't mind selecting him. We have shooters, but I want someone who is consistent. Maybe we can package some of our other guards and get a great defender out of the deal.

Re: Extended Knick Draft Poll
my personal choice is tiago splitter whose defense and intensity i enjoy a great deal, but i strongly doubt he'll be there at 23 my next choice is afflalo, his game just seems perfect for what the knicks are trying to run , he is an excellent post passer , can shoot the 3 and defend well and he should be there at 23 because most now see him as a late1st rounder/2nd round pick, plus he is an excellent insurance policy when/if Q rich breaks down because he brings alot of the same qualities.

Re: Extended Knick Draft Poll
i voted allan houston i mean morris almond. i see him being the pure shooter sg we need that can play defense. my other option would be sean williams but im gonna stick with randolph morris as our back up center for i think he will be a great backup, could possibly be a starter in this league, but not while curry is here.

Re: Extended Knick Draft Poll
I hate to drop in and mess up anything on draft picks but before anything this Knick Team does need an evaluation on where it stands.
Marbury just made a public comment on his show and to the sports media that Isiah should get a shooter. This is what I have to say about this matter.
Isiah Thomas signed Defensive Player Jared Jefferies to the entire MLE, given him 30 MPG and never ran a "Defensive-Zone" this season which would've commendate Jared Jefferies defensive talents to better this Knick Team Defense.
Another thing that must be noted is Rookie Mardy Collins just spent 4 years with one of the BEST "Defensive-Zone" Coaches in the NCAA.
Does'nt that say something about Isiah Thomas coaching this past season on a much needed defensive-plan? those two players are a defensive tandem with a hustler and two scorers...
P.S. To be continued on this Shooter, Marbury says to get....

Re: Extended Knick Draft Poll
Adding a Shooter to this Knick Club like Morris Almond when....
This losing Knick Season (33 WINS) had nothing to do with the players, it was the Head Coach offense/defense plan. Maybe next season will be alot different on the WINNING point of view when a B-Ball system is established. Then the Players will want to even play hurt just to get another WIN.
Looking at the Knicks again from a coaching point of view, Isiah Thomas did the same thing that previous coach Larry Brown did other than change the starting lineup every game (Isiah changed the 6th man, 7th man, 8th man, and 9th man every game), and abuse the players publically (Isiah was a quiet mouse on the bench and to the Media by never VERBALLY complimenting his player on a good play or yelling at them for repeated bad plays with the exception of Nate Robinson their best outside shooter this season).
The same subject used on Coach Larry Brown could also be used on Isiah Thomas "he did everything in his power to lose this season".
Channing Frye was not allowed in the post at all this past season on offense, except for the five games after the Denver Brawl where C-Curry average 22 MPG and Channing Frye averaging 15 pts, 8 rbds, off of 30 MPG alongside of Lee and Balkman who had to average at least about 23 rebounds together per game in those 5 consecutive games inwhich the Knicks WON 4 of those games (I believe David Lee had a 20 rebound game in one of those 5 games).
Getting to Madison Square Garden hour before the game start, I would see two or three of the Knicks assistant coaches on the court with just C-Eddy Curry working on his Post-Game, after they were finish they would all leave including Curry, then you would see Nate, Frye, Balkman, and Collins come out first to practice their shots on the court with NO assistant coach help at all. This is something I and alot of my friends whom have season tickets seen and talked about alot this season because of Eddy Curry NEVER passing the ball when doubled or trippled teamed which lead to another Curry turnover (we would joke that Curry only knows how to pass to the assistant coaches LOL). Was all the Knicks coaching staff spending the majority of their time with just Curry? when Marbury and Francis different styles of talent as the quarterback of this team needed to be worked on by the coaching staff for the sake of their teammates talents.
Is this the reason why Marbury and Francis did not make this Knick Team the NBA leader in assist made this season with offensive explosion players like Curry in the post, Frye in the post and peremeter, Q.Rich slashing the lane and peremeter, Crawford slashing the lane and peremeter, and Nate slashing the lane and perimeter, and Lee & Balkman on the back door play???

Re: Extended Knick Draft Poll
Crittenton would be very nice. Tomcic would be a nice project bigman, but Isiah hates Euros. I really want Crittenton or Thaddeus Young, they would be a very nice addition to our roster.

I agree, both would be sweet but I don't see them dropping. The consensus is basically saying Chandler at this point anyway, who wasn't even a thought when I started this thread.

Based on history
You'd have to think Chandler will not be the guy. The only times IT has been predictable are Camby and Frye. Both centers and both big needs at the time with no other real options. It seems that whenever a player has been mentioned as a probable pick, it ends up being a smoke screen. Although talented, Chandler doesn't seem to be what this team needs. Any 1,2,OR 3 they draft should be able to really stroke it, given Curry's low post dominance. I still think they draft a player with a solid future as a shooter, barring a trade.

Re: Extended Knick Draft Poll
Im going to go with Daequan Cook, since ive seen a good amount of mock drafts with him as the knicks pick. Again, draft is not my speicality.
